Approximately 330 kids drafted. Seven from WPA. Two go to Gilmour and one plays for the Washington Little Capitals. In essence, four local players with how many AAA programs and Shady Side Academy. I think it is time for organizations to remove "development" from their websites.

the fact of the matter is, if your kid is good enough, people will be contacting you.. at any level. how do you think the AA 07 badgers filled there roster to make a run at nationals.. coach recruited.. if a AAA player gets cut all the AA coaches know and reach out.. if your kid is dominating at his level regardless what it is coaches will want him to replace someone. if no one is hounding you for your kid, he is most likely placed where he should be. now of course some coaches will be filling spots if they need numbers, but if multiple coaches are wanting your kid it means he has potential to move up.

And he will sleep with your wife for free??? Plus he will tell you that your kid is the best and you should get an agent/advisor. Also make sure you do all of those extra skating classes with him to get you where you need to be playing AA at a single A level.

You must be drinking the Viper cool aide. People are not leaving because of not making teams or the coaches or the ice time (maybe a small percent but that's everywhere). They are leaving from the continued (4 years and counting) poor decisions from the board. The board should review who started in their program and who has moved on. This kind of mass movement does not happen at other locations. The Board will use lines like "grass is not greener" and "maybe you should volunteer more".... these lines are used on previous head coaches. They also have Board Members who are leaving each year. Count the number of coaches that have left. You can have good intentions and be on 100 boards but data doesn't lie. They need new leadership and soon. Black Bear is going to pull that rug from underneath them. I know it's hard to swallow for those who still think they are "doing their best".

Last year. 2020-2021 08 viper stars Aa and went 0-19-1 and 09s won 4 games in A major gold. not even a major black for AA team paying a few thousand bucks for a major gold

He's a great salesman.

We had a really bad experience with him in a summer tourney team years ago, during "tryouts". That was in the past and I haven't said a word to him since, nor would I spend any money on a program that had his name on it. I've dealt with a lot of coaches over the years and there are only 2 that I won't ever deal with ever again, one was this dude and the other was A.L. who was also at the same rink.

suprised he is still even around, heard so many horror stories about him. Shocked Yuri would even partner with him.

So if you want someone that hold the kids accountable he is for you. If you cant handle your child being disiplined then Probably not for you. Some parents think they know best and just cant handle their little "superstar" being held accountable. God for bid my kid did something wrong and he was held accountable.. sometimes he does things unconventional and some dissagree with that so they trash him.. to each their own. I've seen 1st hand what he has done with kids and parents that are willing to buy in and learn. But some just refuse and blame others for their issuse.. common in today's society. Is he a salesman? Of course he is, it's his job and his livelyhood, as is every other paid coach/team/spring program. They all as are salesman. But he is worth my money. I dont give a crap what his background is, what he played, or what he did off ice.. I care about my kids progress and learning and development on ice. And he is one of the best I've delt with for that. He knows how to get everything out of every kid willing to work and learn. That to me is priceless.. only way to decide on anything in today's society is give it a go yourself, you will always have good nd bad reviews, they only review that matters is your own experience.. goodluck with whatever you decide.
