Pitt plays #14 University of Mary (ND) today in the ACHA D1 National tournament. The winner will play Ohio University tomorrow. It's the 4th consecutive tournament appearance for Pitt. Last year Pitt lost in the Elite 8 to UNLV. In addition, St Vincent is making its 2nd consecutive National appearance in D3. They will start pool play later in the week

1st year squirt + his decision = good decision. At this age, he should play where he wants with his friends.

Not sure what you're asking, but he coached Meadville. They won 8 state Championships. They were in the Lake Shore league and it's supposed to be W. PA. If he isn't eligible, then I would go with Mort, Tingle, Quinn? Lot of deserving coaches out there that put in alot of time with their teams.

#20 Pitt ACHA D1 team split with #1 Ohio University this weekend. Won Friday night game 5-3 but lost Saturday 3-1. They play at #7 Niagara next weekend.

Let's put the blame squarely where it belongs; the kids that drank! They knew the rules, they knew the consequences and they still did it and then put it on social media so let's lump stupidity into the equation. Quit trying to find someone else to be a scapegoat. Sorry, this is just my opinion.

Pitt hockey coming off an elite 8 appearance at ACHA D1 Nationals opens the season on Friday with the City game on ice vs Duquesne at 830 at Alpha followed by a trip to Wes Banco on Sunday for a 1PM game vs WVU.

This is so wrong. He's a really good coach with an outstanding resume and he was dismissed because certain people on the board want to go in a different direction. The word is they want to find someone with a military background. Not sure if the last part is true or not. I wish John well. Just one of the perils of coahing HS hockey. You're at the mercy of the board instead of an athletic director.
