  1. I'm sure they'll post it 6 pages deep on their website for you to try and find. It's like a scavenger hunt trying to find info on their site.
  2. Tangradi is running the 8U program not the older teams. He has kids that age.
  3. I heard the same thing from someone involved with the Renegades and another person involved with the Aviators. Aviators will still offer their one half ice practice per week but it will be at Shadyside.
  4. Other leagues seem to handle this problem and continue to publish stats. Just need to have a policy. The Federation wants the statistics in our leagues to be as accurate as possible. Coach and managers are to ensure that all GameSheet are correct at the end of the game. If a scoresheet is not accurate, the Federation has a scoring change policy: Scoring changes are made via the AHF Manager’s portal by a coach or manager. Scoring changes must be submitted with a video and the required information. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted. Goaltenders: the federation will add shots to a GameSheet submitted by a manager. Please note, the team will be subject to a fine if this practice becomes a regular occurrence. It is the coach’s responsibility to verify the scoresheet at the conclusion of the game to verify accuracy. NOTE: The league will not accept or change stats submitted by players or non team personnel. *Changes may take up to 10 business days
  5. IMPORTANT Once all game schedules were processed following the first two PAHL scheduling weekends, it was recognized that about 80 games were erroneously placed on the weekends our league intentionally reserves for make-up games. Those games must please be rescheduled immediately. We were fortunate last season to have a mild winter in our region, but we cannot expect the same every season. Additionally, we need to account for the unexpected situations that may force a game to be postponed late in the season. Not having enough game slots to play your league games is not an unexpected situation and therefore does not justify a game being placed on a make-up weekend. It is the philosophy of our league to have all teams play their full slate of games, which maintains the integrity of the standings and subsequent playoff seedings. To that point, our PAHL rules state that a team must play all of its games in order to qualify for PAHL playoffs, so the make-up weekends provide a necessary buffer at the end of the season to help ensure that all teams can remain eligible for playoffs. The Scheduling page linked below now includes a listing of the games that were placed on the corresponding make-up weekends, found at the bottom of the page. The Important Dates chart immediately above that list cites the specific make-up weekends. Please take action to reschedule the game(s) for your team that were placed on a make-up weekend. All game changes must be conducted using the format outlined on the Game Changes page linked below, and the end of the "free" preseason grace period for all divisions above 10U shall be Wednesday, October 11th.
  6. I heard that same thing when an 8U parent during an evaluation skate said they went to 3 different 8U tryouts.
  7. How can the vipers offer a higher level than current organizations in that area? Are they fielding AAAA teams now?
  8. I think there will be more soon. With the season running from August-April and longer each year there will be parents that decide it's too much and scale it back. I'm seeing it as a coach less kids coming to practice at 10U and 12U. It's a waste of time/money to have half the team missing practice. 10U team 3 and lower at most associations should be in-house.
  9. I would love to see an in-house option at every rink. But it's going to take the rinks to buy in and invest in hiring a hockey director to run the leagues.
  10. Look at the cost of the BY. It's $3,000 and the team will play 50-60 games. But only 20 pahl games are included in that $3,000.
  11. Agreed, I would love to see those two associations put out a cost structure and what you get for the cost. i.e. how many 50 minute half ice practices do you get a year?
  12. Yes sometimes people don't fit on teams or don't like certain coaches and want to try a new association. But is it a good idea to have 3 different options in the same facility competing for the same kids geographically?
  13. Schedules are out for nationals. Pens got in all boys teams except 16u https://nationals.usahockey.com/2023youthtieri
  14. Here is the board and their terms. https://www.midamhockey.com/page/show/5829048-board-officers-election-grid Elections happen each year at the annual meeting. Every association is invited to attend these. I went a bunch of years ago and they don't really tell you much in the public meeting. But you do get to vote on anyone that is running for a position.
  15. There are no paid MidAm positions. There are perks like all expenses paid travelling to Florida for winter meetings and Colorado Springs for summer meetings. However, there are decisions made that can bring in money. Like the district select camps that were always hosted at Kent State. When the coach in chief moved to Bowling Green as the rink manager the camps shifted locations. The tryouts are always at the Tam-O-Shanter. Again look at who manages these facilities, and what their positions are on the Mid Am board.
