  1. Partially correct icechumpket- Nobody would cheat by billeting kids, who are obviously billeting for aaa hockey, just so they can play HS hockey. But why would they not be upset about a group of kids not being able to compete for their school? It’s about the kids. Kids play sports to compete. That’s why parents were upset- kids were robbed of their right to compete. Talk about not letting it go…
  2. The only victims are the kids who get screwed over by the pihl and their lack of attention to detail on their end. I certainly am not of victim of a poorly run hockey league. “Oh, we don’t have enough reps to properly support league games”. Great excuse in their minds to allow mistakes. Also- who the f is Rachel maddow? Nobody is watching that garbage. Terrible reference…
  3. The pihl does NOT make mistakes! Don’t be ridiculous. (That’s complete sarcasm by the way)
  4. I have personally witnessed pihl reps accidentally put scratched kids in their system as if they played when they didn’t and vice versa. No blame there??? No fault??? They are incapable of human error???
  5. Agree 100%. Pihl is absolutely partly to blame. The pihl reps should be solely responsible for everything score sheet related since that is the official record for each game. This includes checking rosters and getting coaches to sign off. The teams only responsibility should be handing the rep the roster sticker- period. This way volunteers aren’t to blame for simple mistakes or “purposeful” errors (as most of you have junk is going on).

  7. I think I can hear you laughing from your mom’s basement.
  8. Yeah, all your previous posts indicate that you felt bad for the kids. Trying to recruit kids for what? More garbage spewing while hiding behind a forum. Happy to discuss. Let me know the time and place. No anger- just want to see if someone will make these ridiculous comments face to face. Easy to do from the shadows.
  9. Yes I’m supportive of montour (and kids playing hockey). No I’m not on the board. What the f does that mean? What’s your affiliation? Please disclose. I know- none. Just a dude in their parents basement commenting on a hockey forum or a random guy who’s kids are done playing hockey. It most certainly would have not been a big deal because it happens all the time in those other sports and is completely allowable. Again tho- not the real point. The point is nobody tried to hide anything. Everyone knew, including your kids coach. If you would like to call me a cheater to my face, please let me know and we can arrange to discuss.

  12. Some people are beyond convincing….I’ll let it go stackthepads out
  13. Nobody claimed they had paperwork because none was needed. So who’s playing dumb? If this was high school football or basketball, 2 sports that rank well above high school hockey in all aspects, this would not have been considered a transfer. Does anyone realize that? Even the judge commented on the ambiguity of the transfer definition so why do people still insist that it was cheating? montour secret pre-season meeting- “let’s bring in the 14 year old goalie specifically to play high school hockey and only dress him for 10 games”.
  14. Same offer pucks11- happy to meet and discuss. Also it’s now 4 times according to what you think. Gets the facts straight. Our team manager DOES NOT file the paperwork. Are you tooo tooo tooo stupid to understand that? Nice emoji use- what are you 13?
  15. Did I blame Avonworth? Again- know your facts before opening your trap. Happy to have a discussion in person if you like.
  16. Congrats to assistant coach BB on a big night: - QV victory - goalie shutout - getting montour eliminated Way to hurt the kids!!! Apparently that’s what is most important to some.
  17. Fire the volunteers!!! Off with their heads! Suspend the program for 2 years!!! Punish the kids even more than you did!!! Teach them a lesson!!! Did you people even read the summation from the judge? Or can you not comprehend? Brilliant solution. If the entire board resigns, there is no program. Nobody wants to do it but those who volunteer. So much hate to the volunteers it’s moronic.
  18. Do you have the job description of the montour hockey manager? Please forward the one you follow or have followed given your expertise. There couldn’t possibly be differences in job responsibilities between organizations could there? Noooooo, that’s impossible! Please have your organization forward so I can tell them what they need to do properly.
  19. Here’s a thought: Perhaps the manager volunteered late to the game because there was nobody else willing to do it. Perhaps the manger has a real job or some circumstance that prevented them from attending the “training”. Perhaps they didn’t want to miss the new episode of Law and Order. Perhaps they thought to themselves “it’s only high school hockey”. I don’t freakin know. All I know is that people are quick to blame others for everything and thinking everyone has a hidden agenda. That’s why we have a shortage of VOLUNTEERS at all levels. Who wants to put up with this? We get it- you are all perfect people, never making mistakes, documenting everything, and always quick to place the blame.
  20. Obviously….guess his master plan to go from montour to the Montreal Canadians was foiled (insert menacing laugh). High school hockey program in shambles lol. Give me a break. How ridiculous.
  21. I’m not as invested as you. I do enough crap reading on this forum.
  22. Don’t worry, all of montour’s bogus season fines will more than cover the cost. Put those car wash fundraisers and Easter candy sales on hold- you will be fine.
  23. Is it unfathomable to believe that this is possibly what went down: Montour reaches out to Pihl to discuss said player eligibility via the old, outdated mode of communication- the telephone. Explains situation in detail. High ranking pihl offical or officials say that transfer eligibility does not apply to this situation for whatever reason. Perhaps because he did not transfer high schools idk. Montour says ok, thank you very much, have a nice day. Should montour have said “send me an email to confirm”? Before you say yes: If at your job you are allotted a 30 min lunch break and you ask your boss, “is it ok if I take an hour for lunch today, my father is visiting from San Diego”? He replies “sure”. Do you ask “can you send me an email to confirm”? Suppose you are a college student and you have an unfortunate death in the family and the service is scheduled at the same time as your chemistry exam. You ask your professor after class if he can reschedule your exam explaining the situation. He says “sure, sorry for your loss”. Do you then reply “please send me an email”? Perhaps there even is an email. Just saying, to assume that there were definitely ill-intentions involved is close-minded.
