What will happen to the good 2009 AA PAHL teams?
sadday4hockey replied to RJUSHL's topic in Western Pennsylvania Youth Hockey
Maybe they are making preparations and developing for their 16U Major year and playing in 16U AA events? -
They are over-trained on the ice and under-educated in the classroom. And what I mean by that is they do not spend near enough time in the classroom on a daily/weekly basis at NC.

It's extortion. But the fact that everyone knows it and then act blind-sided by it is........... well, amazing.

It's not about killing dreams but rather having realistic expectations. And why are so many parents so willing to part with their kids during such an important part of their overall societal development?
-
Maybe they should axe all the 06's who ran to the Barons a few years ago how that worked out. I simply can't fathom how far people will go to chase something that's not happening in 99.5% of the cases.

Which one? They both do. -
A quick view of minimal activity on here shows exactly what this poster is all about. And how foolish they are as well. The older BY's are the ones that matter genius. And if you actually believe that your happy little group of 11's and/or 13's will stay that happy little group through the older age groups, well then I've got some bad news for you.

School teams looking for coaches

What's the going rate nowadays for a qualified Varsity Coach? Does it differ from AAA to A? -

Don't know about that but apparently the girls program is hemorrhaging players to out of area teams. -
And it will be the same in Eastern PA/South Jersey, North Jersey/NYC/LI, Western NY, and countless pockets of places all throughout the New England area. If I recall correctly, USA hockey has in the past referenced the 15% mark as the percentage whom should be playing Tier 1. Like it or not (or not believe it) but we have good solid hockey around here and because of that we should expect there to be some impressive showings by our local teams at Nationals.

Provide some factual data on this please. Not your opinion above, but actual facts with the cities which you believe this happening. And please use actual USA hockey registration data and not the entire population of say Philadelphia.

Are we sure that CV and PR actually won those games on Tuesday? It doesn't appear that the PIHL is certain. What's it take to upload some pictures? 8 minutes? Maybe 10. Each month it should become more and more apparent to all the haters what a great job John Mucha did as Commissioner. This sport could use more people with his passion AND his ability to work with just about everyone for the good of the game.

If this guy isn't a mark, this would be the greatest brainwashing example since Do and the gang from Heaven's Gate.

This is the opinion of the BB public relations people. The question begs, how do those members rate their year 1 experience?
