I have stated in the past that everyone gets a game suspension. I stand by my comments. I also think the goalie move is classic, the stuff movies are made of! What age is this?

I'm calling BS on this. If the policy came it was to talk to the ref about the players. No allegations the ref did anything wrong in your post. Either were not getting the full story or one of the parents embelished on the behavior of the ref. Honestly I'm surprised the police even came. Did they question the ref about his behavior or the behavior of the two kids on the ice? Nothing for the ref to worry about here. Just good banter for the message board folks. Did the ref give both of the players 5 and a game? If not these things just keep happening. #cleanitup

IMO the referee(s) did a great job getting into the mix and cleaning up the fight. Everyone gets 5 and a game. Find the parent in the stands - They should get 2 games!

Hockey should be like every other sport. If you throw a punch you will be escorted off the ice/playing surface. Why should hockey be different? Should PIHL/PAHL review the video? Personally I would say no, for player suspension. However, I do think they should review the referee call/no call.

PPE has far and away the best skating/stick handling/ puck skills of anyone out there. Get your kid in a high level program if they are so inclined and keep them there. There is a difference between hockey players and kids that like to play hockey. Determining which kid you have is half the battle.

I'm fine with the players protesting. Hopefully they didn't get paid or had to take a PTO day just like I would have had to do. Funny though I don't hear of them donating a game check or portion of the game check to support the cause.

Uniontown just shut down fall sports. Football girls/boys soccer. The district will be virtual and following the Gov's guidelines.

This is simply the law of large numbers. X% of kids will be from Pittsburgh. I agree that NCAA Div 1 Hockey is for the best of the best. With only 1600 spots across the country that doesn't leave much of an opportunity. Maybe it is only the best kid from this area every year or maybe even every other year. I share the Canadian frustration though. The CFL limits the number of Americans a team can roster, personally I would love to see something like this in Hockey. Is there a limit to the number of Americans that can play in the Canadian Junior league?

This is laughable. These are not AAA teams. People in Pittsburgh do not understand that simply putting another A after your team name does not get you to the next level. I have posted this a number of times and honestly grow tired of this discussion. Go look at the Michigan Hockey association requirements to field a AAA team. Then come back and start a new thread that talks about how many AAA teams are in Pittsburgh.
