  1. They don’t. It’s how rink owners interpret. Lebo is community owned paid for by tax dollars. Baierl is privately owned.
  2. This has been my point the entire time, it appears one or two rinks / clubs will kill hockey for everyone. This is why I stated pihl and pahl learned nothing from the piaa or wpial.
  3. I found it odd how late NP tryouts were held, makes some sense now. So one Pahl club along with their rink is going to screw it over for everyone else. Makes sense.
  4. We didn’t send 14 years olds off to war, calm down Karen. Do you want to see a 14 year old get his head smashed in the boards, possibly breaking his neck because a bad skater who is tired couldn’t stop in time ? Remember this game is played on ice, players reactions are not instant results. Most of the bad injuries I’ve seen during my time have resulted from tired players.
  5. Yes, I was just told it was 18U vs Team Ohio 18U. Not many like king ralph, he has the money and resources, watch him become the savior for the Pahl folks. At first I was joking about him starting his own league, now as I think about it, I can see him doing it.
  6. You can not play a game 5 on 5 with 9 skaters, tired sloppy hockey will happen, players get hurt when they are tired, thus the 4 on 4 talk. I know part of the proposal is to switch players at a half time of some sort. That’s just an excuse to keep players paying. In the end it’s all the same and not hockey, it’s summer league.
  7. Yes the plan is in place, play that way or don’t play (January). Reading comprehension!
  8. Posted above - 4 on 4 nine skaters no contact or no hockey. What will the financial ramifications be towards small clubs ? They can’t cut players, budgets are set.
  9. Who is currently the biggest PAHL program, the predators ? If reports are true, ice castle is playing normal hockey. I can see King Ralph giving PAHL the finger and starting his own league. To much money to lose, plus he has independent teams. how can Ralph tell one team they can play normal hockey but another at the same age group they can not ? PAHL and PIHL are doing a bad job of handling this in my opinion. They did not learn anything from the PIAA. What do you expect from a league that puts in a fair play point.
  10. That is not what your original post said. Your kids are “scrubs”, no sacrifice needed on their part. They only sacrifice needed to play real hockey is parents staying home.
  11. Disagree, you can tell if a kid is a good skater with one shift. Hockey iq ? Hockey is not typical played 4 on 4, this completely changes how the game is thought and reacted to on the ice by the more skilled players. No contact ? That’s not hockey. If your son is playing AAA anywhere. I can guarantee you, there will be no scouts watching a 4 on 4 no contact game. No matter what team you are on. Next season when things get back to normal, watch all the bad habits picked up by kids playing 4 on 4.
  12. I don’t understand how competitive kids that want to play real hockey, not summer league hockey, equals spoiled kids.
  13. The Rumor being discussed that Pahl & Pihl will be going to nine skaters, 4 on 4 with no contact unfortunately has become truth. The other option is not playing at all.
  14. If your kid is competitive or ever played at the AA level or above, they will not be happy with no contact.
  15. Nobody cracked down, that is the key. Both teams were told the scrimmage was to be played 4 on 4 with 10 players per team.
  16. I got the information about no contact from a district friend, word from denver to the districts - if the game can not be played under normal circumstances there is to be no contact.
  17. My 99 cracked his pelvis in a Bantam game, we never bothered to submit anything because my health insurance covered everything. To answer your question - no.
  18. Denver to the districts, read the above post what was sent to a Pahl org.
  19. I’ve talked to people around the country, nobodies districts are being very clear. Denver told the districts to abide by state laws, this is causing a lot of confusion. Do we have a PAHL or PIHL higher up around here that can give how they are interpreting things ? AAA will be a complete mess traveling to other states, every state has different rules. Someone involved in the ushl told me don’t expect them to start playing games until Jan 2021. the PIAA goes against the governor’s recommendation, declares all fall sports are a good in PA. Football teams will have 50 kids per side line, refs, coaches, trainers and emt’s. PIHL, being a club sport, waits to see what the piaa does now gets the rug yanked out from under them by USA hockey. AAA & PAHL don’t have a leg to stand on because USA hockey, even the rogue usphl put out a statement (similar to what USA hockey is doing) that state laws must be followed by its members. In PA you can play a contact sport like football were you have over 100 people on the field. Yet hockey that has a total of 45 or so with refs has to be played with modified rules and no contact. Sorry folks, I’m lost at this point and thankful my kids are done. Hockey needs all its players to bill the ice bills, you cannot start cutting teams in half at any level or league. @Scooby Doo what did you hear today ?
  20. I didn’t bother calling him out, it wasn’t the right thing to do. Heck half of the folks here tried to say I was his alt account at one point! I’m assuming he wanted everything deleted because he slipped up on the topic about the 40k being stolen and all but identified himself.
  21. The last topic he created about the woman who stole 40k from a local PIHL club is what gave him away. I was asking around about it if anyone recalls, I stumbled on who he was by accident, it really made a lot of sense looking back at his older posts along with comments he made regarding this particular school team.
