Like I said. I talked to the dad. Predators was the only tryout but this dolt doesn’t seem to believe it. I’m not selling anything, I don’t make any money in hockey, my involvement anymore is to watch other family members and friends kids play. Mine are both done now.

Get it through your thick skull, I (and I think @The King ) are advocating for the season to be shut down. We are saying it’s inevitable due to the circumstances. BTW - you ignored my comment about the north hills kids going to pee and esmark tryouts. I’ll just assume you’re a predator dad at this point.

I just shot your theory down and this is your reply ? That’s the way predators do their tryouts dolt. You pay $150 they pick the “aaa” team, the remaining kids come back to be divide between the Pahl teams. Educated yourself if you are going to run your mouth.

The north hills kids never went to ppe or esmark tryouts. I know their father. They were not really trying out for predators “aaa” it’s the way predators run the tryouts.

Probably not, they will probably have flu like symptoms for a few days but every once in awhile for some unknown reasons, this virus does kill healthy people. Look at the 41 year old actor who died today. 3 months in the hospital from covid, completely healthy, no underlining issues. His wife can’t even explain it. Ask dr wecht to explain that, maybe he will give you some jfk info while he’s at it.

@The King It’s not like I want to be right, per usual my info is correct. I’ve also been told it’s up to 5 kids now that tested positive. This soon will get on the pa government radar. This is not true. They cut a 02 this year who is drafted into the ncdc and added a 03 who stinks but the kid has been going excel. The father also wrote a check to the penguins foundation, his kid brags about this.

You just don’t get it or you do and you want to defend ice castle to the death. I am not going to waste anymore energy arguing this with you.

The kid from bethel does not know the two north hills kids. We don’t know if they were the only ones that got it, I would be willing to guess other have got it. Again, the common denominator is all three kids attended the predators tryouts, that’s the facts. You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes buddy. Judging by the reaction from other clubs and school athletics, this matter is being taken serious.

Three kids. Again, you do not have to work for the cdc to figure out where they got it. all three of these kids were in one place at the same time, Predators tryouts. A try out that had 60-70 skaters on the ice at various birth years along with stands packed with parents. Can you arses at least admit you saw that many kids and parents ???

I honestly don’t care what you believe. The facts are the facts and they are right in front of everyone. despite my kids being done, I want to still see youth sports. I have family and friends with kids still playing, my kids friends still play. My niece was suppose to play her first Pahl season this year but a holes such as yourself can’t follow rules. you obviously have some vested interest in the predators. Don’t worry buddy, your kid won’t make it to D1. Playing there certainly would do nothing even if your kid had the talent. stick to tier 2 - great comment!

I got a text from the parent! As for the carrier, it was somebody at ice castle, more than likely one or more kids trying out. do you work at ice castle ? Is that you Ralph ? Or Gary ? Don’t want to have to shut down for 14 days, pay to have the place scrubbed but hey let’s have rmu take the blame on this one since that’s when 2 of these kids got “sick”. rmu was the last rink to open, they have been very strict. They are owned by a college. They are following guidelines. to recap, 3 kids attend the predators tryouts all 3 test positive for covid 5 days after the tryout. Parents filled the stands watching their dreams. It’s simple man! It’s common sense! You don’t have to work for the cdc to figure this one out!

So 3 kids who happened to be at ice castle for hockey tryouts come down with covid 5-7 days later, it sure isn’t a coincidence. It’s common fn sense!

It’s not a rumor, it’s fact.

I’ve spoken with a few friends this morning, just as you said king, the place was packed for all tryout ages, upwards to 60-70 kids on the ice at the same time. Parents also packed in the building watching. This folks, this is why we can’t have nice things! People can’t follow simple guidelines, Karen and bob have to see how little Johnny is doing! I always stayed in the car when my kids did tryouts, also during practice, this was before covid obviously. Why do you parents insist on being there ? You’re presence is not going to change the out come. Maybe I’m just old and don’t understand these helicopter parents! The few families I know who attended have not received any emails from ice castle about the situation. Word is starting to circulate a kid from bethel park has also come down with covid from these tryouts. So we have two confirmed kids and one rumored, how many do you think really picked this up ? 30 ? 40 ? Now they will pass it around to their communities and families. Hockey is by far the biggest breading ground for bacteria and virus out of every sport.

I would also hope ice castle sends a email to every kid at that tryout!

Here is something funny, I heard that same Minnesota HS story about 15 years ago. I’d bet it has happened but it’s folk lore. look at the kid who’s parents sold their house and lived on a house boat on Lake Erie so their kid could play junior hockey.

Don’t disagree at all. How long have I been saying something like this would happen, March ? Well here it is! I’m not trying to pat myself on the back, it’s just common sense! Where are The folks that wanted to tell me I was crazy, didn’t know what I was talking about. I don’t care what your political views are or what you really think about this virus. The fact is - it’s spread at travel hockey tryout out, now those kids brought it into their own community via the school club hockey team. Don’t make your first payments!

I Just received a text, these kids picked up covid at ice castle during the predator‘s tryouts. One of the kids became sick during the north hills skate five days later.

I’m lucky, both kids are done now. If they weren’t, I sure as hell wouldn’t be making any payments for a travel team right now! If there is no season will USA hockey refund the membership fee ? ?

Most schools have done their tryouts, the wording just means “club” sport. Get ready folks! I’ve been saying it for months, no travel hockey this season, now I am even questioning school hockey.
