Ooohhhh, nnnoooooooooooo!!
Say it ain't so!!
Let me guess, Chris Cunningham.
yep that's correct. parents complain about parent coaches in youth hockey. now you have parent coaches in travel beer league teams too.

The non profit will be a write-off for the good Dr. for all of his "donations" to the Vengeance AAA teams.
The positives are 1. You will get a coach/GM that can out drink any of the parents and just got off of his 2nd DUI. He will coach your kids while on house arrest and wearing his ankle monitor.
2. You get professional EX athletes as coaches that will teach the dads how to cheat on their wives when they go out of town.
3. You get the flashy locker rooms with the fake walls that you have to walk 1/8th of a mile and through another building to get to the rink.
4. You have the "state of the art gym" that only 6 kids at a time can use but that's okay because they have a shooting area smaller than the one in your basement and 1/20th of a basketball court.
You also get the front "lounge area" with the high top bar tables.
Can't forget the video room that doesn't hold the whole team so kids sit on the floor.
But you do get some cool swag and jerseys.
all of that was built for the jr that folded so it was handed down to the faux aaa teams.... nothing special

the rumor is true the head coach was fired. He was replaced by someone on the teams father now.

this is the age where YURI starts his used car salesman pitch and ropes these parents in for lessons camps his new advisor bs he does as well. Promises the world, then brings in handful of euro players and end of dec when rosters have be cut down. bye bye local players.........

This is the CJ Stellabotte effect at Esmark. Promises all of these young families that he can turn their kids into "Stars". Gets them into his lessons, places them on faux "AAA" teams. I believe all 4 teams at Peewee or below have kids playing up birth years. All done to appease these "delusional" parents that you speak of. As someone stated before me, this should be criminal!
so is this CJ guy mostly the new Brad Posey within the stars?

west will probably sweep states this season

wwelll the OG PPE Black teams former payers are all u16AAA or above now so they can't warn the younger generation of the fleecing it really is. Not to mention this is their last push before SID retires from the NHL. The numbers don't like look at the increase when Lemieux and pens won cup hockey took off. lemieix gone pens sub par numbers declined. enter Sid numbers sore. now its coking to an end w his career and they know itlll be a bumpy road for a few years with numbers down and cost of her ice and travel increasing

There’s still a pretty big gap between NCAA D1 and ACHA D1…especially when we’re talking top-20 NCAA. Now, the gap between NCAA D3 and ACHA D1 is not significant. I’d like to see Minot St play Chatham University men’s team. That would be a competitive game.
can I have what drugs your on? not even close. Chatham would lose by 3-5 goals. And let's be honest Pittsburgh isn't a hot bed for these NCAA or Jr tams. The Forge only lasted a year here and got out..... RMU isn't exactly the destination for JR players to wanna come.... Heck they don't even get a great turn out anymore... PGH just isn't the city for these types of teams and never will be.

Esmark jumps the Excel Academy. Which would only make sense since the Academy is 8-15 and wow!!
I wonder if they got the license number of that SSM semi-trailer? 13-0
yet they will get the at large bid for nationals.

Sure, but to where? It also looks better than it is because people don't understand what "tendered" means.
But I agree they move more kids on to somewhere else than any other teams. They should, they're pulling from a much larger geographical pool than other teams.
sure but what most folks don't know is the nahl and their money funder leagues naphl and below. nahl has to tender certain number of kids from every team, its in the leagues clause. 99 percent NEVER make it and end up on their na3 team or lower. look at last years tenders none of them in the league. were they. cdc and other tier3 teams. and yes ncdc is nothing more then a glorified t3. the top 10 teams in premier could play w or probably beat most of the ncdc teams. EVEN better now you have kids running to plat t2 pay to play in Canada now. now thats funny!!!!! time for them to grow up and be an adult..

You and I both know that the teams around here, at least, aren't going to play each other unless tournament fate somewhere pits them against each other. We all know why.
at the ned of the day though, who truly moves the most players on around pgh. its easy PPE.

rink owners can have a field day now jacking up the available ice time. would be a smart move on their part to do so too. supply and demand.

Yes, the THF tourney is there this weekend. Great to have another sheet, although one would think that the planning for the non-ice amenities would have been better planned to be ready for season opening. Not a great look, hearing grumbling like this tweet from the Barons: https://x.com/U18CleBarons/status/1705276775821963265?s=20
wow the barons really fell off if they have stooped that low to play in this wanna be aaa league

I think you mean shaha and not preds. Preds have a very solid AA group
time will tell but going by just roster names and performance. they are a 1 line team. and the aa team last year was terrible, and the remains of the 2005 are carry over too. sprinkle in a major 06's and its not gonna be good. They have a GREAT HC with a GREAT track record, just doesn't have the depth
-
u18 AA still has to many teams. preds, vipers, badgers all very weak for aa
-
I'm sure if ppe played that weak of a schedule they would have the same record. Esmarks in that sub par naphl crap. while ppe plays top teams week in and out. the team that killed ppe this weekend would kill the stars by far more

This what you get with your AHF entry. You get to spend the Holiday weekend in beeeee-eautiful South Jersey. Not at the beach but at one of the BB rinks with lovely starting times of 7:45am and 7;00am for 14U.
And in addition you get a home and home series with a team just across the river.

Take a spin around the standings of these.... "these leagues" during the season and note the "competitive balance" provided.
Those who noted the Esmark deterioration in the other were spot on.

although it is funny, only teams that matter are u16 and u18 teams and Im sure they won't do very well either
