  1. Am I reading this correctly? Slap shots are allowed at 10U now?
  2. Michigan has 8 AAA orgs. If you are comparing, a more fair comparison would be Michigan to Mid-Am. Mid-Am has about 10% more registered skaters at most ages so would expect 10% more AAA teams across the region if a similar model was used. There are a lot of differences that make this not such a great comparison but I would start there.
  3. This is not true. They are requiring contact information for contact tracing purposes only. Locker room availability is based on the arena policy. Some allow and some don’t currently. I expect this to relax more now that rinks are legally allowed to be open. Full text of the guidelines are here https://cdn4.sportngin.com/attachments/document/1ace-2250057/MAHA_Return_to_Play_Standards_-_2020-21_FINAL_Draft.pdf#_ga=2.75479506.1116179089.1599619648-996059422.1599619648
  4. 2 guest per athlete. No restriction on roster size. Several other minor restrictions. The most controversial is a mask mandate for all players, even while playing. The rule comes from the governor’s order so is not likely to change anytime soon. A bubble does not count.
  5. Rules and restrictions are being drafted and released this weekend. Games will be allowed starting next week. Beyond that, there is a lot of speculation but nothing is 100% yet.
