Does this not pose a conflict with those players that play on amateur teams? I would assume those players that choose to play in amateur games vs the HS games would not go well for them, knowing who runs things over there at NA. Both will have their full rosters at Notre Dame ........and usually do for Jamestown as well. We have a great group of teams at 18u AA and 16u AA, just like last year. 18u AA- West Dundee, Ashburn, Jr Grizzlies, Foxes, Blazers, Tri Valley, Allegheny, McKinney, Highland Park, Armstrong, Raliegh, Predators, Tri City, Team Philly 16u AA- Renegades, Team Philly, Affton, Reston, Ashburn, Igloo, Highland park, Nassau, , Mid state, York, Tri City, Blazers, west Dundee, predators Come check out some really good AA teams. They do, plus NA, Bethel, Peters, Mt. Lebanon, and a handful of others. Then you have teams at the other end who are barely able to fill out a scoresheet for their 20 PIHL games. It just seems kind of excessive I guess and definitely is something that the PIAA won't like. I suppose it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, because there are many reasons hockey won't become a sanctioned sport and this is probably a smaller issue. Also Meadville had to take a break from the PIHL for a few years because they couldn't field a team. They did end up in the B division where co-ops were allowed. I believe they have two high schools in their district and something changed where they were considered a co-op if they used players from Cochranton HS. Two great Programs Glenbrook South Champions and North Allegheny Finalists played for the 2022 Hoosier Cup Thanks to our great team especially Bob Valenti and the crew at Compton (ND Staff, Refs, EMTS, Scorers) to make this happen!
