When you start adding Hotel rooms, Plane Tickets, rental cars, gas, and food, it adds up quick for sure!

If PAHL was a better product I think more kids would be willing to stay and play!  They do nothing for player recognition,  AHF keeps stats and all star teams for a little recognition for the kids at a minimal cost!  When is the PAHL going to Gamesheet or even using the software they have correctly?  PIHL can do it!  Why can't the PAHL?

Don't hold your breath.

The dinosaurs at PAHL still use fax machines.

Why does EVERY player need recognition?

For what?? Scoring 6 goals in a game against a team that should never be on your schedule.

This sport, along with society of course, is becoming such an exercise in the individual in lieu of the team.

It's amazing because the NHL team here has two complete in opposites on the roster when it comes to the team first/me first debate.

First you have Crosby. Possibly the greatest team first mentality ever in the sport.

Then you have Karlsson. Possibly the most selfish and least team first player in history. Of all sports.

How anyone would want to be like Karlsson is beyond me but nowadays, over 50% probably fall in the me-first thanks to the parents, of course.

In defense of the stats not being a thing in PAHL... Nobody wants to hear "Johnny faced 37 shots, but you have it as 34 shots!" Or, "Robert had the second assist on that goal in the 7-1 blowout and you completely missed it".

Also, are they going to count blocks? Shots? Hits? No? Then you're leaving a lot of kids out who contribute very much to their team but maybe not in scoring goals. That defenseman that never gets scored on is totally left out anyway.

The kids know what they did. That's enough.

Why organize a league?  Let everyone play pickup. Then give them all a participation trophy at the end.  We surely don't want to hurt little Johnnies feelings cause he's not as good as everyone else.

If you are going to have a league with groupings from AA to B.     Do it right or don't do it at all!

You are definitely the parent driving the team manager nuts by going through the scoresheet with a fine-tooth comb because the 17-year old kid or the volunteer parent scorekeeper missed your kid's secondary assist.

Was told about $23,000 all-in. True? 🤷‍♂️ Buts that's what I was told. Maybe it included some lessons during the season, too. I don't know.

That's totally plausible if you add in all the travel costs for an independent team. I know someone whose daughter played for one of the local independent teams in 23-24 who kept careful track and said that cost just over $20k after travel expenses.

If you think kids don’t want to see their stats you are dead wrong and somewhat naive.  Why do you think EP is such a popular site for players?  All everyone does on this thread is bash PAHL for sitting on their asses and do nothing to promote the league or its players.  Other organizations track stats via EP for AA teams, have All-Star games and those organizations are thriving.  Why? Because we live in a social media age where 90% of the time kids are on their phones are checking SM, not making phone calls.

Hell, even PIHL tracks player stats and has All Star games along with FB and IG pages.

Who really cares if an anabolic parent is questioning the stats?  Organizations that publish stats set the tone at the very beginning of the season with the parents - paraphrasing here but "stats are not always 100% but it is better to live with its minor faults than have nothing"…..i.e. PAHL.

PAHL has been doing the same shit for decades now, yet nobody within the organization seems to care about the decline in talent or headcount.  Same shit, different day.
