Best Place for new skate fitting / baking

Featured Replies

Hello,

What are the best places in the Pittsburgh area to get a kid a new pair of skates and making sure you get the right fit for them? My kids usually get used skates because they like the feel of them already broken in, but one of them wants to try getting a brand new pair and getting them baked to fit the foot. Any suggestions?

Pure Hockey

Pure Hockey in Canonsburg...  Some of the best staff in the area.

this. is for the old heads, is fat jack still around. he use to be the BEST!!!! but I think if he isn't then the top for anything skates would go to Jason Binnie now

Inventory is hit or miss this time of year.  Pure Hockey (Cannonsburg, Monroeville, or Cranberry) are good choices.  Perani's Hockey World (Greentree) is good too.  They all have the abilty to get accurate foot measurements with scanners.  They all bake too.  Pro Shops at RMU or Delmont would be next tier options.  Don't go to Dick's.
