Only if you have a level 3 Government clearance. MidAm is about as forthcoming with information as Jen Psaki.

So that begs the question, is anything less than a full sweep considered a failure?

Because Esmark seems to find a way recently at 18's and the 14's/15's are both vulnerable. 16's should be a foregone conclusion, but that's why they play the games.

Just in case anyone wasn't sure, I'll be rooting for "The Field of 2-6 seeds" at all ages.

 

Lack of a clean sweep does not imply anything.  My position is simply that PPE must be doing something to have earned the top seed in each division.  May the best team win in each division.  

Jack Handy, thanks for the info. Some interesting games to watch.  South Hills V Vengenace at 14U  should be interesting right out of the gate.

For 06's, the Barons are 2-0-2 against PPE, they've played twice as many games yet they are ranked lower.  And if PPE doesn't win Mid-ams they are still likely to get an at-large bid.  What does that say?

Yes, for Tier I.  Tier II playoffs are a few weeks out yet.

That seems crazy.  Nationals are not for another 7 weeks.  You can get another whole season in before then.

lets not forget the Barons beat PPE Last season at u14 to go to nationals.. PPE was the top seed last season as well

Just be ready. If your non PPE player is invited to Mid-am team USA camp tryouts, the non partisan evaluators will most likely be PPE employees. Good luck 

18’s - Number 2 Culver withdrew, they are replaced by the Barons.

Welcome to the wonderful world of MidAm governance. Based on the zoom meeting 6 weeks ago, you can be assured that the dates were kept the same for no other reason than to not disturb the busy schedules at The Villages. They may also  not have been able to get the cheapest hotel rates later this month which would limit the return back to the District coffers.

Yes, and #2 Culver at 16u had to also withdraw - multiple covid positive cases in Culver players plus at least one coach. Gilmour filling in at 16u.

This all seems a bit fishy. Could it be that Culver has been infiltrated by the same folks who poisoned Aleksei Navalny?

Of course it is. They lost out on last year's retirement fund collection, they're not going to let 2 straight years slip away. Both the shuffleboard courts and horseshoe pits need refurbished.

It definitely is the continual money grab.  They claim to compete for spots at the National camps, but then a quick view of the Pens site shows that two 05s got specific invites to the U17 team.  They already know who they are going to tab anyway and just becomes a dog and pony show.

 

I've sat there and watched games played where not one person was in their viewing area for the entire game. Just a bunch of empty chairs. Sort of like the MidAm board........
