hockeyisgreat
Anybody know how this is going for this year? Is it growing? Staying the same? Seemed like a nice alternative to PIHL. Are they having a JV division this year? Do they have enough teams? Always nice to hear about what's going on.
nemesis8679
I may br wrong, but wasn't last year 20 games?
RJUSHL
How's the competition in this? I can't imagine they would have many MS teams playing. Could be wrong.
skip737
@RJUSHL: competition was solid this season. Even the top teams were defeated during league play (nobody ran the table), and the battle for the upper half playoff bracket was down to the last game. @nemesis8679: was only 15 games this season and I thought I heard it was 20 last season as well. Would have been nice to have a few extra games but the 14U div had 8 teams so a home and away vs each team so the ideal number would have been 21 or 14… could be something that floats each year, assuming they adjust costs to match the game amounts. It’s kinda hard to get schools to commit though without knowing exactly how many games they are getting and how much they are paying. Could be just planned for 2-3 games between teams and a preseason fee range to be cemented as the league registrations are finalized.
hockey55
It was a very competitive league with lots of skill and talent from players and goalies. Well done Alpha!
