That makes no sense.
You don’t think? All they see are dollar signs.

It's extortion. But the fact that everyone knows it and then act blind-sided by it is........... well, amazing.
Totally. You are right on with that statement. But what’s the alternative? Boycott them?

09 preds goalie tryout-9 goalies-team starts today
9? How is that even possible? It’s the Preds not the Pens.

I think 8-12 is probably pretty accurate for a new coach coming in. Some of the longer tenured coaches are up to 18k, at least from the ones I know.
Does this include dad coaches 🤯

While I don't think it's the main reason they are struggling, I think some of it comes down to people not liking the strong arm approach black bear took. Makes me wonder what the numbers will look like at vengeance this year
I missed the memo. Did the Vengeance get bought by Black Bear?

They did have a Head Coach wearing an ankle monitor this season. I think that proves your point
What age group?

Agree! Tons of overlap.
I don’t know why orgs / coaches aren’t upfront & straightforward with kids. Yes, you have a spot on the team or time to look elsewhere. Seems easy enough.

Blame it on the parents. To many parents want their kid to be the SUPERSTAR of the team and don't want a another kid to threaten that or they may not get seen by scouts. Then you have the pare5that won't let their kid play with another kid because they don't like that kids parents. Then comes in the parents that refuse to let their kid play for a parent coach.
At all age groups if the best kids played together Pittsburgh would have 2 or 3 strong AAA teams and some really good AA teams.
This is it in a nutshell. Kids don’t care. But the parents and their egos do.

I guess that begs the question who is a good coach for them?
Wait. I know I know…. That same dad from Esmark 🤣

I believe the pred kids who left are talking about returning as well. It's silly season have to see how it plays out.
You can’t make this stuff up.

Well I think Esmark’s future depends, on some extent, on that dad that destroyed their team and whether or not a bunch of parents continue to follow him or do their own thing and go back?

Raise costs… for what? Frozen pond?

So back to the original question where are all of these 09 players going to go?

I’d love for someone to explain what criteria determines who gets accepted or nominated. Shouldn’t it be driven entirely by stats?

Good one. I was thinking Ice Castle.

Has anyone noticed the increasing trend of one person being involved waist deep in calling the shots of almost every aspect of an organization as well as being the head coach or rostered on numerous teams as an “assistant”? Not a healthy trend.
Crickets! Come on… give us a hint.

Name them. Most are just walking around trying to relive their youth as they never amounted to much. I can even think of one just running Daddy’s business and still thinks he’s going somewhere & is full of empty promises.
