It’s wild at Allegheny. For a regular a/b team it is $2400 for the year and aa for the older kids it is $3,800 for the year???

Heard the aa older coach has been texting my buddies kid nonstop to come to the aa tryouts. Is that even allowed

that coach is a total tool. he’s constantly texting kids

That’s only 4 games a weekend for 25 weeks, given scheduling at the same rink on the same days I’m sure this is completely feasible lol.

So either 18u or 16u Badgers will basically be coached by a dad coach anyway even though they are trying to portray that it won’t

Saw Allegheny’s tryouts stuff. How do they have the same coach doing u16 and u18aa and do AHF

that doesn’t seem possible. Plus heard a bunch of those kids are going to vengeance anyway. At least 16s

Yeah surprising Shane clifford didn’t make a statement or anything on their social media or sending out emails to clients saying anything. Friends on a 10u team at our organization heard about it in the lobby of the rink and had been told by their instructor at Shane clifford there was a family emergency and that’s why the cranberry instructor left. They don’t watch the news and couldn’t believe the company didn’t send anything out.

Wonder if they got some AAA players or if it is mostly AA as what was showing up to the open skates

from what I heard it’s about half AA and one goalie AA and the other half AAA and the other goalie is from vengeance AAA

Yep, that would be my kid that got cut because we would not get on board with NC/ Excel. Logistically not feasible for our family but hey, as we were told they never cut kids for not doing Excel. 🤷🏻‍♀️ and to sweeten the experience the rest of the team knew by 5:30 who had made it but we had to reach out to the coach at 9:45 pm to get an answer. What. A. Joke.

Wow. So sorry that happened to your family. That’s terrible. Best of luck moving forward

Speaking of, how are the skates looking?

Heard the esmark skates have merged 2008 and 2009s together to make it look like more kids there. only about 12-20 kids total have shown up for each skate for u15 and u16 all combined. Doubt 2009s will be able to field a team unless some imported players come.  Allegheny will be 2008 and 2009 combined so no clue what that team will look like. Renegades seems to be keeping their team together for 2009 and had a good turnout. Heard vengeance skates were a bit of a mess

apparently not a lot of kids showing up for those open skates for 09 esmark

As far as Center Ice aka Palmer Imaging Arena, even though my son played AA there for multiple years roughly 2012-2020, we would very often routinely get "reverse homered" by the refs and pretty much always be on the short end of the stick in terms of power plays.  And our teams were skill based, not goon based AA teams like other teams in that timeframe.

So I will disagree that during that timeframe at that level home teams had the advantage, because we were constantly on the short end at home there.

my son played birth year at Allegheny a few years and we definitely were reverse homered constantly-but lots of refs are from a rival organization

No way 12 teams end up in 16u AA.  My guess is the following based on what I've heard of team makeup from other folks.

Allegheny, Lebo, NP, Steel City, Rebellion all get one team in.

Huskies, Indiana, Armstrong, Shaha, Preds...at least 2 of these teams will be on the outside looking in.

Maybe I'm way off base, it's just my opinion.

How many Huskies teams are there? Just the ones on the PAHL list or are any playing independent?
