The Pens are not political. With all due respect to said individuals, I won’t name names but there have been some heavy hitters with kids trying out, in the program.....Execs, pro’s, former pro’s and I can’t name one single case where a kid was put on a team, put on a team he/she didn’t belong on due to outside influences.

All I can say is wow.  That is a bold statement to make on here, you have got balls the size on boulders on this one.

Brace for impact, I think there are a lot of people on here that will challenge you on this.

  2. Lots of great responses here.  I agree, the parents of the Squirts won't learn or believe us until they go through it themselves, they just won't listen.  They all think their kids are elite AAA, will get full D1 rides and play in the NHL.  I just let them go and think it.  Those of us with older kids know, half of the kids playing squirts right now will not be playing by the time they are 16, and maybe 1 or 2 total from the area will maybe play NCAA D3 hockey.  None will be in the NHL and for sure none of them will remember anything about when they were Squirts.  Sorry for the reality check everyone.

    Thank you for the replies.

It was in a Middle School game. My son’s team lost. The player in question played on the other team. No “Monday morning quarterbacking” of the officials, coaches, players, or other parents.

Only a guy that was unsure of the rule and honestly should have dug a bit deeper before posting.

Not sure what lesson needed to be learned.

The lesson is to drop your stick...………….

Don't all AAA Squirt teams draw from other organization's Mite programs?  I think The Rengades Thing is PAHL requirement.  If I remember correctly, The Pens stripped the Then Amateur Pens of the name and left the AAA club with the SCIR when The PPE were created.  Not sure if they (PPE) took over the Hornets AAA or how that all works. SCIR used the Vengeance name to differentiate their AAA from their house teams.  I can remeber the amatuer pens field 3 or 4 teams in PAHL playing low A or even B.  It was just the local PAHL org for that rink.  Good for them (SCIR /Vengeance) for only using the AAA monacer when they have a team or birth year that is capable of playing AAA.   Some of the posts in here seem to be pointed toward one birth year team that probably goes back several years, As an organization, I think The Vengeance have a viable option going for AAA Pittsburgh hockey.

I don't think there are Squirt AAA Teams.
