Masks were "recommended" at the beginning, until they realized that nobody was wearing them. They went and made them mandatory. I think that the Governor is likely to double down on the limits rather than remove them, unless the legislature is successful in removing that option. Seems to me that there is a very good chance that those rinks that are not following the guidelines will cause a total shutdown of hockey for that reason. i hope very much that I am wrong here.

So these rinks have been open for business as usual with full teams etc and nothing has happened in 4-5 months! No Covid outbreak! That should tell you something.

Your kid must play on a lower PAHL team.

You must have forgot to read the parent code of conduct that Pens parents have to sign that specifically states their distaste for hateful and disrespectful remarks on forums and other social media. They want you to “act classy” and exercise judgement before posting. Maybe we can contact Danny and let him know what a class act you are. You can’t be real. If so, I’m embarrassed for you ? And yes, some Pens players 100 percent have been playing at other rinks and in games all summer long and still are. Sorry you are out of the loop. I think I know why.

I never said they shouldn’t go to excel. The Pens made their decision to build a business around the sport of hockey. That’s going to eliminate all bit a few locals. That will eventually alienate the organization from the local hockey community. In most cases I don’t blame them. This local hockey cult is full of psychotic people. But let’s not pretend that they keep the top 20 of each birthyear. Especially when the top don’t always choose excel. Maybe they build it eventually but it does nothing to build the game in the area. The Pens care very little about Pittsburgh youth hockey. Esmark even less. But at least the Pens provide the means for player development. Not that all their coaches are capable of doing it. But the ones that do develop their players. Simply playing Tier 1 or junior hockey doesn’t improve the player.

The King, So you said that the Pens care very little about Pittsburgh youth hockey. In your opinion, who does care about Pittsburgh youth hockey???

  4. Wampa1, It’s probably you trolling everyone. I bet you have 10 accounts so you can mess with people ? Boosts your ego a little bit by correcting grammar and acting like a hockey God. Oops, was I supposed to capitalize God there or not ?

  5. It’s always the “AAA” (or wanna be AAA teams) teams that people moan, whine, complain and have a problem with.  Why isn’t anyone ever ticked off about an “A” or “B” team?????Same crappy run organization whether it be AAA, AA, A or B but the parents of the kids that didn’t make the top team or have been cut from the top team have to hold a grudge and complain and spread their filth. If the organization is that bad then why talk about it? Move on to better things then!
