And for the dreamers- I don't think most people realize what that dream really takes. Meaning the work, time, money, and commitment that is in your control nor the "have-it-or-you-don't" genetics and mind for the sport, and luck that is not even in your control.

Fighting is going away from the game. I'm 45 and I love old school hockey. The fights and the hits were why we came and im sure that's why most of the people came. Occasionally there was some really good hockey and some really nice plays. Like I said it brought something to the county that people could afford and have some beers.

This is so wrong. He's a really good coach with an outstanding resume and he was dismissed because certain people on the board want to go in a different direction. The word is they want to find someone with a military background. Not sure if the last part is true or not. I wish John well. Just one of the perils of coahing HS hockey. You're at the mercy of the board instead of an athletic director.

PITT-8TH    IUP-22ND

Jamestown only had 2 US players on their team. Alot of the top ten schools in ACHA D1 are filled with foreign players

Adrian 3 UNLV 0 Adrian wins their 3rd National Championship.

The dream is over. UNLV 5 PITT 1. 

#20 Pitt vs #5 UNLV at 10:15 in  quarter-final. UNLV beat Pitt two years ago at Nationals 5-2.

The people that are in St Louis are thrilled. It's their first Nationals and that is always special and exciting. Huge for St Vincent and the Martz (father-son) coaching tandem. Big congratulations to their program

That was 2 years  ago. Last year they got eliminated by Liberty

I have a friend who has a kid playing on that team. I can't speak for others, but his kid hasn't got paid. So there's that.

The home and home series between #9 Niagara and #14 Pitt scheduled for this weekend has been canceled. The team's split a home and home first semester. The teams will meet at the Erie Civic Center Monday at 830 to play their remaining league game.

Plus, they were in the Lake Shore league so WPIHL had no jurisdiction over them. Not sure how closely things were looked at. I thought they were pure. Pa Hickey would know better

In case anyone is interested, Ohio U will be in town this weekend. Play Pitt at 920 Friday and 220 Sat at Harmarville

Just a follow up from Lynchburg.  Between 3,000 and 3,500 fans for a Saturday 7PM start. They love their hockey at Liberty. It is a 1st class organization and the game day experience is amazing. Very profesional! Game was tied 1-1 with 10 minutes to go before Liberty pulled away for a 3-1 win.

All this is true. SRO crowd of 4,100 tonite. The football team that just won their conference championship across the street and brought their trophy over between periods. Great crowd, great atmosphere. Liberty won 5-3 in their Midnight Mayhem game

ACHA D1 uses a computer ranking starting the end of October.
