Look it’s a parent who’s kid did not make the preds 18 aaa team so he had to settle for the aa team. Why does your aa team wear the yellow helmets like the preds aaa teams ?

let’s take a guess here - you also came from last years icemen 02 team now you want to trash the icemen because they didn’t do aaa at 18u ? Sound about right ?

word is / rumor has it  - love when people say that.

The AA U18 preds team was started by the U16 AA Icemen coach from last year

I’ve read it here before and I’ll repeat it. If the AAA team is not playing in a real league nobody is watching. Bob G wrote a article on this about a year or two ago. Independent AAA teams do not expose your player very much, if at all to the next level (high end juniors).

    HPHL

    NAPHL

    TIER1 ELITE

those are the top 3 youth leagues in the states. PPE just left the t1el to started their own. eventually this league will  be all academy & prep schools, ultimately at the top of the food chain once it grows.

The point is though that none of the Icemen teams should even be playing independent

All 3 "AAA" teams played in the JV bracket and while Esmark may have fared well on the ice this past weekend, things are not nearly so rosy off the ice. Multiple players have already either quit or have requested their release and the team will more than likely not exist through the end of the month.

All truth one has already left

Let's be honest as I saw most of that game as well.  The Icemen at best appear to be a AA level squad.  The goalie alone today for them came from a .500 Foxes team in A+ Black last season.  So this game really tells us nothing in terms of comparisons to AAA.

The other goalie played north Pittsburgh team 1 last year but he didn’t play because they play palmyra tonight

This may change a little but here is a starting point:

    Allegheny Badgers (#1) AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    Butler Valley Dawgs (#1) AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    Mon Valley Thunder (#1) AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    Mt Lebanon Hornets (#1) 05 AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    North Pittsburgh Wildcats (#1) AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    Pittsburgh Arctic Foxes (#1) 05 AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    Pittsburgh Predators (#1) AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    Pittsburgh Vipers Stars (#1) AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    South Hills Panthers (#1) AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    Steel City Ice Renegades (#1) AA 0-0-0 0.00 scores.png
    Westmoreland Eagles (#1) 05 AA

Mon valley will definitely not be in that division as they are struggling to have a 14u team in general and the 05 badgers are even weaker then were last year because top players went to westmoreland ,viper stars and Renegades

Word on the street is the Preds are still looking for a few players, so I doubt anyone from there will be looking for a spot.  If you look at the MidAm list it appears to be full of AAA players.  I'm not sure there is a AA kid on the list.  Quite a few disgruntled parents.

What were the numbers like for the 15/16 AAA

The Pittsburgh Huskies PeeWee team is looking for Goalie prospects.  Points of interest:

    • The team projects to play in PAHL at the AA level this coming season
    • Goalie fees are $850 for the season
      • Try-out fees are $125
    • The organization again plans to have J.S. Aubin work with all Goalies twice per month
    • Try-out registration can be completed at:  https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/192589
    • Try-outs take place at Pittsburgh Ice Arena:
      • Sunday 3/31 12:00-1:20
      • Wednesday 4/3  6:00-6:50

It isn't clear what age the goalie is, right?  First year travel and looking at Esmark and Vengeance.  Esmark means at least Bantams.    I would think that most decent Bantam AA teams have two goalies.  Same as PPE.  Not sure how Esmark and Vegeance treat goalies but at the PPE they pay full price.  A lot of PAHL oranizations give a discount.

By Bantams, people have a clue as to which organizations have a strong team.  If the OP has an 06 goalie and isn't up for PPE or the other AAA teams.  Try the Renegades or SHAHA.  They have quality teams that are trying to make the jump to AAA.

Predators give a huge discount on goalies

Just curious if any of these Esmark 2000 players (past or present) committed to any NCAA D1 programs?  They seem to get brought up on here all the time (probably by the same delusional parent).

I believe Rapone committed to Duquesne and Rossi and Schmitzzi commited  to Ohio university
