This is incorrect.  (Sorry my nephew played for them) - they lost one forward who made preds and one is trying out for 08 team.  Everyone else is coming back to my knowledge and they are picking up a couple other kids.  I would assume if/when the one kid gets cut from 08 tryouts he is back and then the team is basically intact.  They had plenty of kids try out though so it's more of a matter of what level they end up being in the long run.

Well one of the goalies that just made it  for Shaha is at Preds tonight.

Shaha 09 definitely not folding I confirmed that.

they don’t have enough players. Having a supplemental tomorrow night-same night as Preds, Icemen, Esmark?  Their best forwards left.

It's not about killing dreams but rather having realistic expectations.

And why are so many parents so willing to part with their kids during such an important part of their overall societal development?

also wild when it is an only child going to live with an unknown billet family

    Where did they all go?

The majority went to predators last year.

Well there will be six Tier 1 09 teams next season. Compared with four this season. Esmark is really going to have to work some magic to put together a good team. We'll see. Tier 1 will be a bit watered down I think. PPE may start to bring in non-locals and that always shakes things up. And a few of the top top kids will look at prep schools.

For Tier II, the better 09 AA players are going to gravitate towards the teams that are putting together a 15U team. Any 09 team that stays together will probably play A Major if they play in PAHL. Playing against older but less skilled kids than they are used to. I would guess that Allegheny and South Pitt will have 15U teams to match AHF 15U AA division. They don't have much choice but to play in that league.  And I'm guessing those two teams will not be playing PAHL and then just schedule a lot of independent games. Those two teams will probably pick up a lot of PAHL AA kids from other organizations that are putting together 16U mixed teams. Kids from Foxes 09 and North Pitt 09 will probably seek out other 09 teams since they won't have a birth year team option anymore. I think SCIR is the only 09 team that will try and compete in 16U AA PAHL. Preds will no longer have an 09 AA team so those kids will look around to find an 09 team. I'm not sure about Lebo, but if they keep their 09 team there is no way they can play AA next year.

rumor has it all the esmark kids that came to allegheny are going back to esmark and that 09 team that won pahl is going to end up having to be 08/09 mixed since their 08 team was not competitive at all in u16 and lost most of their good players

PHA 09 in the wrong category here. They are Tier 1 next year. So with Esmark 09 not happening the Tier 1 09 teams may go something like this:

    1. Pens
    2. Vengeance
    3. Preds (T1HF)
    4. SHAHA
    5. Icemen (T1HF)

For Tier II 09 AA this is my guess:

    1. Mustangs (non PAHL)
    2. *SCIR
    3. *North Pitt
    4. *Rebellion (PAHL & AHF)
    5. *Allegheny (PAHL & AHF)
    6. Preds
    7. SHAHA
    8. Lebo
    9. Foxes

    * - Those four are the top PAHL AA teams, all of them should be very close. Pick or choose the top one. Should be a clear delineation after those four.

If you did slot the Icemen in Tier II, I think they would be in the #3 spot. PHA isn't the only team picking up AAA cuts. So is North Pitt, SCIR, and Rebellion. AA teams are getting a lot better at the top next year.

    My guess:

    tier 1:

    1. Pens

    2. vengeance

    3. preds

    4. shaha

    tier 2:

    1. Allegheny

    2. Icemen

    3. Mustangs

    4. Rebellion

    5. SCIR

    6. North Pitt

    7. preds

    8. Lebo

    9. shaha

    10. Foxes

PHA was good and played a good Schedule. Not hearing much about them picking anyone up this year on here, seems to be every other AA team. Aren't they disqualified from tier 2 states for joining the Black Bear AAA T1HF though? They are advertising everywhere that their 09 team is joining it. maybe false advertising?

You would think they are the leader this year if they improved. Mid state has no one to pull from.

they had a big turnout tonight and heard they are getting one of Esmark’s goalies from last year

From my understanding just a few more.  I believe there were also a few of the Esmark selections at Vengeance so that could get interesting.

*second hand information, I was not at either.

apparently one esmark kid from renegades declined his spot

If I were one of the families whose player got named to that team I would be running for the hills. The team most likely won't be as good as some of the AA teams locally and they will be paying 3 times as much with the normal Esmark travel on top of that. Already a mass exodus and the supplemental will just bring more AA level players. Wouldn't be surprised if this team ends up folding and these players have nowhere to go.

Many years ago my son was a 2004 and made Esmark 2004 either for pee wee or bantam and there were maybe 10-12 on the team and they had a supplemental and didn’t get enough kids and didn’t cash checks then ended up folding

I agree but a few kids will try to move and some will tryout hoping to move up from a AA team.  If they haven't been asked to tryouts I think they are wasting their time and donating 150.00. Just my opinion of course.

What about the ones that donate a few thousand to play on the biggest fundraiser-Vengeance practice squad

The 05's probably would not have had the record they had in Tier 2 if they played a Tier 1 schedule, so that makes no sense.

The 05s didn’t even win the AA division-they won playoffs and mid am in overtime with a penalty shot to win over 06 badgers.  Agreed with FAFA Fohi that really didn’t make sense
