  1. So Mr Myers lied to the police or the police made things up on the police report? Mr Myers did actually “start” this incident. Had he not acted entitled and went to handle the situation on his own, this would not have happened. Leave it up to Latrobe parents to cry “poor is me” when they are no better than anyone else.
  2. Which kids (other than his, yours and a few others in your cliq) has Mr Myers helped? Mr Myers is only involved for the benefit of a few Latrobe players/families. Also 20+ years? So he’s been helping kids since he was a teenager? Nice try. He has shown his true colors more than once. Had he refrained from going to start trouble, this whole incident would have been avoided.
  3. I’m not sure what you’re trying to say, but “my logic” would be: if an intersection is bad enough that a pedestrian was hit and adding a stop sign was necessary, then the next month or so the police should sit at that intersection and anyone that blows that stop sign loses thier license for 30 days. Punish hard, make people think about thier actions.
  4. At the end of the day 1% of the parents are ruining it for 99% of the families. You may lose 30 or so kids but who’s to say you won’t gain 50 if things change?
  5. Also asking volunteers (coaches, board members, etc) to “police” the asses. They already do more than enough and shouldn’t be responsible for another adult. PAHL has the bad debt program. Maybe a similar program for parents? You act like an ass at one organization, then your not welcome at the next organization? Yes it sucks for that 1% of kids that have asshole parents, but how many players/coaches/refs have that 1% driven out of the spot?
  6. So yenz complain and complain but yet refuse to offer solutions to the problems.
  7. All other sports are on campus. Hockey is played at a privately own business. Not the same. Also, I have no idea if every high school sport has security. I don’t believe so. I’ve never seen a security guard at a soccer game. I could be mistaken, but I don’t believe every other sport has security. So the answer is for the rinks to hire better security? What rinks care? Who do they hire? If someone is doing it right, that should be copied across the board. This is a problem all across PIHL/PAHL. So the change needs to come at the ice rink level?
  8. It is hard or else it would have been done. No one wants to work and no one wants to pay. Maybe contact PIHL and PAHL and submit a contract? You’ll get paid and the problem will be addressed if not solved. Maybe on duty police officers is the answer? Threat of fines and arrest might be the answer?
  9. Please apply for the security position at your local rink. Obviously you are in the minority. Most people turn a blind eye including the security. Not being an ass. I agree most of the BS starts little and slowly escalates. So where do these rinks find 35 individuals like yourself to hire so the job is done correctly?
  10. So we’re back to “it’s someone else’s fault”. How do the “good parents” fix this problem? Is it a rink thing? A league thing? Who is going to step up and put an end to it?
  11. I love this, but it’s not how things are. Most walk away without a word said to them and do the same thing the very next game.
  12. Fair statement. So now why do none of the rinks have capable security? Also how does one person stop two grown men? Back to, should there be multiple security?
  13. So your suggestion is more/multiple security? My point wasn’t for more adults to act like asses. It was most teams know who the asses are and the normal parents need to report them and the organization/league needs to discipline or ban the trouble makers.
  14. There was a security guard at the rink for this altercation, as well as every other one involving parents. One old man is not physically able to control multiple grown men acting like asses. Back to this isn’t an argument. This is agreeing the current set up is faulty. How do you fix it?
  15. Because it’s 110% about the kids. If adults can’t act appropriately, they shouldn’t be there.
