Both 5 and 6 are finite numbers.
One or the other genius it's not ambiguous so do some work and get the actual number.

5 or 6??
How can that be?
It has to be a finite number.

Was just notified of this news yesterday and wanted to get it out to the local hockey community.

People should look very hard at SSA and what Coach Tangradi has there.
If you're going to drop 50K, why not include a 50K education instead of a 5K education?
And I'm talking educational value, not actual cost.
Set your kids up for life after hockey because it does exist much to many of your chagrin.
-
There you have it. 3 different numbers betwixt the 3 of us and the one I heard was mere 5K more than Corsi but what's 5K.
Just the fact that it isn't known ahead of time should be cause for some concern?
Any of those numbers when combined with the additional travel costs and other unforeseen surprise bills when looked at over the 4 year period of 13U-16U they each would fall within the average cost of a 4 year college grad which is a range of 110-220K.
That is truly is mind boggling and honestly a disgrace to youth sports.
The NHL itself and the Penguins franchise specifically should be appalled with this and realize that the higher the costs go to play, the more severe the adverse affect it's going to have on their overall fan bases. Less people playing means less watching as well.

Speaking of "EXTRA" money and this may tie into the previous question regarding the 16U team, does anyone know for sure or has anyone seen in print the actual total cost for a player on the any of the 14U and 16U PPE teams this season?
The number I was told, hence the need for corroboration, is so insanely high that it could not possibly be correct.......

And that's the key because at some point a player's ability to improve their physical skills by lessons alone ends and the mind has to be understand how to utilize these skills.
And that's often where the train goes off the tracks for players, they just do not know how to play the game.
But they will be the best Beer league players for your team.

We're very happy for you, your player and the others who it worked out for.

Do not forget the parents, some should be wearing the bright red A right on their forehead.
It's the new Scarlet Letter
And it has nothing to do with any illicit affairs.

Someone always has to be the victim. No matter the circumstance.
What a lot of these kids need and their parents need even more is good reality check.

The kid has the most important quality there is. A love for the game.
You need that to be truly successful.
Of course having Jon Sr. train you alongside of you older cousins certainly helps as well.

It's in Mylan Park I think.
It may also be a multi-use facility and I think I heard that Mylan Labs might be footing some of the bill or sponsoring?
Regardless, it's more ice in the Tri-State area and that's good.

Looks like they are up to 9 teams for this season.
I believe this began with 4 teams under the guidance of the late John Mucha and it's great to see that his vision of growing the game continues as part of his legacy.

But you get to see your name in an "official box score" in the AHF......

These words were said to me 17-18 years ago.
Don't run them out of money before they're Bantams.
A lot of people seem to have fallen into that category or the one which kids just want their time back.

That was the PPE 2000 BY group.
Probably when they were 12 or 13 year olds.

For sure.
They've somehow already surpassed the 2000's who always had the new millennium as excuse.
One highlight of theirs was........ during a practice at the then Consol Energy Center one evening some parents (3-4 of the MOMS) decided to break into the liquor closet in Suite 66. Tapped into a few somewhat expensive types and well........ I don't think they ever practice there any longer.

Oh my Lord, the horror of it all.
Imagine the poor kid has to be lowered to the dregs of AA hockey for a season.
Where many things could happen, such as this.
Joins a AA team. Loves the team because they work hard and are good people and teammates.
Team has a great season. Wins States. Have a solid showing at Nationals led by the new goalie.
Actual scouts (not the alleged ones watching the "AAA" teams) see him play and he gets multiple opportunities the following season at Prep Schools or 18AAA programs.
What horror, right?

Why does EVERY player need recognition?
For what?? Scoring 6 goals in a game against a team that should never be on your schedule.
This sport, along with society of course, is becoming such an exercise in the individual in lieu of the team.
It's amazing because the NHL team here has two complete in opposites on the roster when it comes to the team first/me first debate.
First you have Crosby. Possibly the greatest team first mentality ever in the sport.
Then you have Karlsson. Possibly the most selfish and least team first player in history. Of all sports.
How anyone would want to be like Karlsson is beyond me but nowadays, over 50% probably fall in the me-first thanks to the parents, of course.
-
But was it not just last year where there were numerous folks on here singing the high praises of the BB, THF, AHF and TAYFM programs?

IAHA has their very own special issues.
Their history of District Leadership especially under the guidance of Jim Smith might be more questionable than Paul Day's run of terror as Midam President.
Pens Elite Players Drafted to the NHL

The organization was formed specifically with the intent to make AAA hockey in Pittsburgh better and more affordable for Pittsburgh players
than it was before their inception. That was the original plan in writing when the Dick's Sponsorship was announced.
You all get to judge how well they've done.
