Maybe they only send communication to your association presidents.

Which is a great way to ensure that 90% of the membership never knows about the elections. They have the email address of EVERY member so shouldn't every member be notified of open positions and election dates/procedures? But then of course, they might not be able to protect their little empire from intruders.

  2. MidAm sucks. It's a bunch of Senior Citizens who still believe we are living the 1990's. The internet? What's that?

If anyone is still wondering why the King signed off so abruptly and had this website "scrubbed" of his diatribes, it's because many members of MidAm and USA Hockey received notice of his lawsuit against them that same day he vanished. I wish him good luck as that board needs to be rid of it's antiquated ways and elderly members.

I can still remember a memo 3-4 years ago that came from Czar Day that insisted no teams should be playing in any tournaments not sanctioned by the District and then you go to the website to find a list of sanctioned events and it doesn't exist. It existed in every other district except MidAm.

That seems to make sense and applies to most activities that don't involve sitting around and breathing stale air. I wish they would investigate and provide information pertaining to those other things that often surround the game. Otherwise, many will equate playing with risky behavior. We'll really never know for sure if playing hockey can spread this unless we get data on teams that just play hockey without all the other stuff.

I wish they would investigate why you are such a gigantic douche-nozzle.

It is interesting that a lot of folks have been preaching this approach to the "Data" for quite some time. Use the fire code limits and assign a % capacity based on building size. The 25 limit for every scenario was never scientific. But I'm just rehashing...

Yes, they have. People with common sense. Which right off the bat, eliminates the majority of politicians.

  5. So the Icemen 18U team is a "AAA" team that so far is 3-4 against nothing but AA opponents. Is there any logical explanation as to WHY they do this? By 18U, shouldn't people realize where this is all going? Shouldn't the need for the extra A have gone away by now?

Why isn't anyone talking about the Vengeance team that is bankrolled by one player's parent, and how that parent gets to call the shots for that team? Or how the coach's biggest accomplishment is being a third line goon?

You know, there are a lot of a-holes on here but there are also a lot of people who can see through a post like this and if you actually think anyone on here believes that you are a PAHL parent that carries this much disdain for that team.................... well, I'm afraid that I've got some bad news for you.

  7. I mean I'm just the messenger.............

In the good old days, before a certain person had to make a members only playground for his kid, the Hornets used to play a majority of their "home games" in Ohio through an arrangement with the Barons. But that was before making money on youth hockey became the biggest racket in Pittsburgh.

  8. Typical liberal speak by them. Yet when it came down to dollars and not sense, still after all these years and taxpayer dollars they have been unable to come up with a plan for what to do with the old Mellon Arena site. Why? Because it's about the $$$$$$$$$$ and not social justice. They want social change? Then they should do exactly what the people of the lower Hill District want them to do and not what's best for their wallets. Otherwise, they should STFU.

  9. I'd like to pose this question, "has anyone on this forum EVER received a penny from the USA hockey insurance program?". Better yet, does anyone even know anyone or heard of anyone that has?"

I know plenty of people whom have had injuries and your personal insurance is the first thing that gets billed. Then if there is anything left to pay, I believe that it can be submitted to this "insurance policy".
