05 aka 16U Icemen will probably dissolve due to attrition and realization that they are awful and it sounds as though Lebo might be giving up the dream and playing Tier 2 this season.

Odds at William Hill on an 06 AAA team actually happening
Preds +250
Esmark +350
Icemen +750

They begin the recruiting process when players are 6 and 7 years old. It's actually comical. You have these Coaches calling, texting and emailing parents and telling them how great their little superstar is.

Freeze that is a hell of a review and seems spot on so my only question is how much money have you spent on private instruction?

And the drills he used were about as useless as @#$% on a bull. He was paid to stick around and keep 71 happy.
NONE of the drills he used were age appropriate. Most of them couldn't have been performed by high level 16U players and he was using them with 10, 12 and 14U players. If you were training for the Ice Capades he was a good option. He was preceded in this type of training by Besa Tsintsadze until he decided to do his flying Walenda act on the ice at Baierl and landed on a young players leg slicing through his shinguard and deep into his leg.
The best skating instructors are figure skating coaches who will work with hockey players. They take the stick out of their hands and break down their whole stride and then build them back up. It's not a quick fix though. Takes 4-6 months of consistent reps.

Yes. The Varsity team upset #1 seed Can Mac last night.

Looks like Mt Lebo Board made a good decision in ridding themselves of the Klapper.

MIDAM needs to change
This is all that needed to be said. The whole thing was a disaster.

faux AAA is faux AAA.
And faux USHL draftees are Faux as well. It's not stalking so much as a PSA to folks on here about your penchant for.... well..... distorting reality.

Danner, just remember that your "Faux backstory" leaves you with very little credibility on here and the fact you say your kids have both moved on, your "insider knowledge" on things indicates your backstory is even more flawed than originally thought or you need a hobby.

18’s - Number 2 Culver withdrew, they are replaced by the Barons.
I've heard rumblings that Culver was playing games in Michigan and did not back out for any valid reason.
Now, what will the good old boys at MidAm do if this is true.
-
I've sat there and watched games played where not one person was in their viewing area for the entire game. Just a bunch of empty chairs. Sort of like the MidAm board........

Is that even happening this year?
Of course it is. They lost out on last year's retirement fund collection, they're not going to let 2 straight years slip away. Both the shuffleboard courts and horseshoe pits need refurbished.

That seems crazy. Nationals are not for another 7 weeks. You can get another whole season in before then.
Welcome to the wonderful world of MidAm governance. Based on the zoom meeting 6 weeks ago, you can be assured that the dates were kept the same for no other reason than to not disturb the busy schedules at The Villages. They may also not have been able to get the cheapest hotel rates later this month which would limit the return back to the District coffers.

SHAHA has both an 06 and 07 team in AA Major. They both belong in a lower division. Or, maybe they should have had 2 mixed year teams instead. Allegheny had to know how the season would play out.

Apology not necessary. Very easy to misconstrue the original post.

Sorry, here's a clarification. The way those are listed and defined are on the ability to qualify for transfer admission to each school from The Rock.

Transferring to?
IUP - okay
RMU - maybe
JCU - probably not
Pitt - no way
Maybe a college education should be chosen on merit and not the ACHA hockey team.

Billy Smith. HE was the master.

So..... telling people that a coach has a moral compass that is set at -360 degrees has no place here? If I'm a newbie looking at options, I would think that was important, wouldn't you?

Speaking from experience with a spring team last year, I would say proceed with caution and take the “terms and conditions” very seriously.
I think this statement may have been in reference to NE. I heard from numerous people last year that NE was offering some less than desirable options in lieu of actual refunds.

It's just simply not feasible in this day and age due to one word. Lawsuits. If MidAm or USA hockey implemented something like this, they would be sued by the families and organizations as well as the rinks. The difference between Little League and Hockey is that the ball fields are far more prevalent and are managed by the community 95% of the time or more. Rinks are private businesses and limiting their available clients would seem to be some sort of infringement on them, doesn't it? This is even more true when you compare a 3 sheet facility like Center Ice vs Kirk Nevin. Is CI provided with 3x as many players available to them as KN? It's a sh$% show now. Just imagine it with geographical specs.
