That’s a problem and families pay the price.
The horror they must be suffering by everyone they know not knowing precious little Clayton's goals and assist totals.

RJ's been an AHF and THF Cheerleader since day one.
I'm sure his 4th place team will fit very nicely in the AHF.

If your "AAA" team is being outscored 164-2 in 15 games and you continue to tell people your kid plays AAA hockey.............. you might be a delusional hockey parent.

Just because your kid plays AA, doesn’t mean you have to talk crazy behind a screen
Wait, what? I'm talking crazy?
I simply pointed out some facts (people hate those) and then offered an opinion.

Thanks for the reminder. Here is an update. Things haven't really improved. 7 games in Pittsburgh all season long. At the 10U level!! What a waste of time and a great way to drive players and families away from the game. There are already enough barriers that limit the growth potential of the sport, self-imposed ones aren't needed.

Was thinking about this the other day and what the status was. The person I asked said they thought they had seen other construction either taking place currently or had recently been completed in that vicinity which was not at all related to another ice sheet.
Anyone have any updates?

These Krach rankings are Awesome!!!
Very comparable to the College Football Playoff Committee

You mean like PR jumping SV despite the latter winning the head to head 5-0?
That's a scratcher?

Esmark jumps the Excel Academy. Which would only make sense since the Academy is 8-15 and wow!!
I wonder if they got the license number of that SSM semi-trailer? 13-0

Good point.
For some reason, I was under the impression that a team like that would be moved into the AA group to increase parity.
But does this system only compare these 13 teams to each other? If so, what's the point?
-
So this is a screen shot of the AHF 10U Gretzky division and what one would assume are the Krach based rankings.
So in this system you have a team Royals 10U A Gray with what looks to be an average team in the division at 13-10 with 118 GF and 104 against. This team in this standings system is ranked behind a team that's 3-15 with 44-132 for a minus 88 difference. And the worst part is that the 13-10 team beat the 3-15 team 8-3.
And you have Palmyra at 8th place at 24-1 and +160 on the GF-GA and while they are obviously vying for 23-24 sandbaggers of the year, how are they below so many teams which they have beaten?

Many times these freak-accident kind of things look or appear bizarre, or don't play out how we logically think they would, because the circumstance itself is bizarre. It's how accidents happen.
That's a great way to describe it. I haven't watched it because I already flinch any time I see skates flying in any age group game.

Say it ain't so. Badger Dave will be so disappointed.😵

Right, and that's fantastic. However, the skepticism here is still very high that any USHL teams was recruiting this player who would be coming in as 20 year.
Very, very high. Same for NAHL.
-
So......... we are to believe that teams from the USHL, which markets itself to the younger players based simply on requiring X number of 1st year players on rosters with a minimum number of GP for those players and......... limits the number of 20 year olds, these teams wanted to bring in a player who was already playing at a low level ACHA school?
And I'm not saying it's low level I'm just using yours and Danner's knowledge.

The funny thing is......... that's a Coaches poll. And yet Danner, who has never coached, probably never played and may not have even strapped on a pair of skates in his lifetime. He knows more than them. That truly is amazing stuff.

Maybe they'll get paid by the Holidays and then be told how lucky they are to have been paid 5 days earlier than their independent contractor agreement requires.
Same as it ever was.

The question is, why do you care so much about college hockey? You belittle every league, age group and organization from college to mites. Especially any local hockey.
It's time to let go as all 4 of your ships have sailed.

There have not been any changes to PAHL in many many years. Change takes work. I don’t think the leaders are interested in doing any more work than they do now. I believe new people would be more energetic in their efforts.
There is a new commissioner that has implemented changes. There was also an election this year and only one position had anyone new running. There's no doubt some new personnel would be helpful but where are they going to come from?
You can't force someone to run for a position.

I remember when you had to earn AA in PAHL.
So....... you're angry that there are 10 teams in 16AA? 8 in 18U?
What would you prefer? 4 and you play everyone else 4 times and get 12 league games.
58 minutes ago, muckerandgrinder said:Placements are a joke as well..I’m placing my bets on any team from Cambria, Westmoreland, Wheeling etc. to win any division.
So, Westmoreland has an 18U Major team whom apparently tanked their placement but you've already said teams should have to earn AA. So which is it?
Westmoreland also has a 12U AA - did they tank but also not earn their AA placement?
Smaller, single sheet organizations tend to have a difficult time keeping top players and are more often than not, stuck in that gray area where what you describe is true, 2-3 players carrying a team. But within those organizations there are probably an equal number of teams that get pushed up and struggle to compete.

Rankings don't mean much until mid December in my opinion. By the end of December there usually isn't big changes but week 1 through then will have a lot of big changes. Just not enough data the first few weeks.
For the most part, that's correct. But for some teams, the early rankings will signify the end of their delusion........ I mean dream of qualifying for the District play-down.

So the much maligned PAHL has 8 teams with 4 of them in the top 50 whilst the much hyped AHF has 31 teams with 8 in the top 50?
Huh? I never made the connection.
Yet, many on here laud the idea of traveling to the Jersey swamps for "better competition"
