That's 100% correct, but don't tell Danner. Unless they play for Liberty or Adrian they should all quit hockey.
Then Liberty and Adrian can play each other 42 times in the regular season, best of 3 in the quarters, best of 5 in the semis and best of seven in the finals. Then, and only then will there be a true Champion.
Has anyone heard of FAU? Those kids should have all quit basketball in Danner's world.
It must absolutely suck to live in danner's world.

While PIHL determines the fate of the Montour Varsity team for this season, I thought it would be a good idea to add a little levity and start a new thread for MidAms as they begin next week. Some of the local teams in Tier 1 other than PPE have a good shot at advancing to natty's.
But in viewing their ever-so advanced website from the 1980’s, it’s clear the one who writes for this site can’t spell a lick. I guess the Word Processor they use to create these pages does not have spell check.Yikes.
Patients. SMFH!!
And more than likely waiting for the PPE to tell them when they want the 16's and17's to take place.

college club hockey being anything but a couple more years of putting on a jersey and being part of a team.
THIS!!!
Maybe there are still a few players left in this world that this is why they still play. But you know for Danner and the disappointment that he harbors due to his kids not reaching HIS goals for them, he must bash all hockey.
For those who think he offers great insight and an unbiased opinion, just remember he doesn't even tell the truth about his own kid's playing experience. He claims he has a 99 that played at PPE and was drafted into the USHL. Never happened. No 99's from PPE fall into that category.
Reader beware.

Is BB actually taking down Rostraver prior to April 1st?
-
The USA hockey rule probably isn't a factor as explained above that only applies to National Bound teams however, the PAHL does not allow tryouts prior to April 1st so they would be in violation of that.

So the Esmark imports typically reside in the Johnstown area because McCort is the only school who will take them, correct? Johnstown to PIA is bad enough, Johsntown to Printscape...........
Almost two hours. So just like playing in Cleveland for those folks who make that lovely commute.

Danner, why do you hate everything related to hockey? Better yet, since you do, why not retire from here and find a hobby you might enjoy a bit more?

Will you ever step into the new world of online scores and standings? Or will you live forever in the world of a standings board at the rink which helps very few people?

supposedly esmark is taking over the viper stars teams fielding AA under esmark and staying at PIA for the next few years, and vipers will be going to split ice at harmer and shady side academy. that's the last rumor i heard. take it for what its with, a rumor. nothing concrete from my understanding.
This makes ZERO sense on multiple levels.
First of all, the Vipers(NHAHA) have the roster software and are authorized to create rosters for Esmark and Viper Stars as well. Why would they still do this when those teams provide them with nothing but the opportunity for headaches and problems? Because when you roster a team with your software, you as the rostering entity are now responsible for any issues that arise all season long.
Second, why on earth would the Huskies(Black Bear) who have just hired two full time paid persons to run the organization allow for that type of competitive organization reside in the same building. Makes zero sense and the Viper Star parents who are buying this kool-aid from the Esmark hierarchy should probably due some extra vetting and due diligence.
-
PAHL does NOT have the authority to decide who schedules the refs. That would require a full vote of the membership to pass something major such as that and one would think that a lot of organizations would vote that down if it even made it to a vote.
-
I hear they may be in danger of losing or not having contracts renewed. Maybe WPHOA will be resurrected or even better, a return to more individual or small group schedulers which would provide competition and lower rates.

If the goal was to have a local top 30 team that is affordable then they certainly failed.
This was the alleged plan "to make Tier 1 Hockey more affordable to everyone". And then the mastermind realized not only could he bulldoze a path for his kid but he could also make a S**T ton of money in the process. And then local hockey became a battle of who could spend more money.

SHAHA has one of if not The Best youth Coach in the whole District. Also, by far the most under-rated. He's tough but fair and any player who is willing to listen, learn and take constructive criticism will benefit from and love playing for him.

I’m assuming he thinks tier 3 juniors is good in response to mine about junior hockey leauge rankings ?
Can you enlighten me as to what response you are referencing? The one where I said that you belittle everything?
Because you do. Everything sucks. No one should play hockey past 10U unless they are AA or higher because.... well, I'm bitter and everyone should just quit the game.
Have you considered a therapist?

Bueller?

Anyone?

Danner..... he's such a clown. Full of contempt for everything because his kids didn't "make it" so he belittles E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
The OHL has 20 teams. The USHL has 16. Here are the last 4 NHL drafts going back to pre-covid days
2022 NHL draft
USHL - 57 players
OHL - 35 players
2021 NHL draft
USHL - 50 players
OHL - 30 players
2020 NHL draft
USHL - 51 players
OHL - 31 players
2019 NHL draft
USHL - 52 players
OHL - 25 players
So...... for those who asked I think these facts should speak for themselves? But we all know the world today doesn't believe in facts..... it just gives in to those who yell the loudest.

Really? You did see where they said, “hey let’s put an expansion team in an area where an NCAA D1 program just folded, but our model will be successful because we will put our team 15 minutes up the road where all the rich people live”.
I’m being told this will make is a huge success……….
Who are "they"?
I see that's what Forbin said but I didn't realize that Forbin was the Commissioner of the USHL either.
The USHL website has nothing on it about future expansion so if you know where there is something other than Forbin's opinion then please enlighten us instead of being a massengale's product.

It seems like a lot of premature excitement about something that's at best a long-shot. Has the USHL announced any expansion plans? I can't find anything on the website about any expansion plans. The key to the USHL success and why it has equaled or surpassed the OHL is because they've never given in to expansion so it has never been watered down. Why change that?
Based on what little has trickled out this is actually being built as the NHL practice facility so they no longer have to share with a youth organization and the general population of insane 5 year old and up parents.
I also don't even think it's going to be in the same proximity to the current rinks but instead back by the hotel.
If nothing else, maybe they'll consider putting in enough seating so that all fans who want to watch HS Championship games can actually get a seat.

Go perform your witch hunt in that dad group text with the other mindless goobers. You have no details to provide because you heard some fabricated story from another brainless parent. Cut this nonsense out immediately and get a life.
There they are. In their pristine hazmat suits, "The Clean-up Crew"
I know this much. The Coach(es) that are in question have already had a "timeout" and now they are off the website?
But remember, this from GD4H, a first time clean-up poster.

What are you? The board police? Put it this way, what I was told is real bad. Until I hear multiple-source verification I'm not speculating. Hence the request here.

So....... a 10U team and an 18U team pay the exact same fee? Seems like the 10U would be getting the short end there when you consider every cost for 18U is higher for games. Longer ice slot, higher paid refs and EMT.
