Agreed, But isn't it interesting that there is just one case with NCAA sports. I find that hard to believe. No question they seem to be heavy handed when it comes to club sports and Greek life. Judging from the fact that Hockey had a previous report it's not I guess it's not surprising what they did compared to the other sanctions of organizations
The other thing I noticed is I believe they hammered some other club sports a few years prior. It could be because they already set a precedent with those decisions as well.

I looked up about a dozen other schools reports in the western/central PA area of similar size. Most (but not all) of them either had very few reports or very minor offenses. It could be the school thinks they have a discipline problem campus wise. Idk.
Obviously NCAA talks when it comes to money. Who knows at this point. Sucks for the kids who were there and not involved.

Some of their suspensions of other organizations appear to be fairly heavy handed so possibly it’s not just because they don’t like hockey.

I sincerely doubt they got 4 years over picking up pucks and filling water bottles.

Is there still a deadline for games to be played per USA hockey? I thought it was April. Has that been shifted right or removed?
-
I’m very doubtful the season will resume unfortunately. I’m thinking things will stay like this for another couple months.

Why do you care? Stay home and stay safe and don't worry about what anyone else is doing.
Quincy,
It wouldn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure out. Remember it costs 0 to stay in your lane.

Gov Wolf no longer has Covid.

This will further the separation between the haves and have nots in hockey. It’ll be interesting to see the results years down the line in each age group.

I don't know if that is 100 percent true, some local tier1 teams have games out of state next week and plan on playing them. doubt any repercussions will come of it. Once the cats out of the bag of which team(s) do next weekend im sure more will follow after that.
I believe the rule allows for it as long as they travel and return home the same day. I’m not sure if that applies to that situation, just an FYI.

Wolf decreased the indoor capacity allowed to 10% today. I don't know if that will have any impact on hockey or not? Maybe back to restrictions on spectators?
Obviously dependent on venue size. Idk what some of the smaller venues are considering their capacity. Hopefully 300+ or were looking not having enough players and officials to play full games.

Hey everyone just a heads up - it sounds like the little guards that cover up the breathing holes on helmets count as "masks" in some rinks and not in others, very inconsistent. Better stick with one that attaches to the helmet or just a regular one or at least have one handy in case a ref tried to enforce the new rules.
When these things come out, it’s always made to sound like it’s going to be some drastic change but give it a week or two and see how it’s actually enforced.

Trying to figure out if you’re referring to the cult leaders in the Republican Party or the cult leaders in the Democrat Party.

Next time, pull your head out and read the actual article and since you clearly didn't, there were multiple sources and studies cited while one of them is Dr. Brix, who happens to serve on 45's COVID Task Force. Or is she a partisan Democrat hack in disguise? And a simple Google search would lead you to dozens of studies, pretty graphs and articles supporting this conclusion.
And since you didn't bother to read the article - "a study published October 23 in Nature Medicine by IHME’s forecasting team modeled current public health interventions — projecting case numbers based on current behavior — and found that universal mask use could save as many as 130,000 lives by the end of February 2021."
Lastly, laziness just makes you look ignorant and stupid. And if you need help with some of the big words while reading, you let me know.
Cheers.

It’s not a rink thing, all players are to wear masks while on the ice. Ludicrous! They are going to kill one of these kids! Just shut it all down at this point, restart in January.

All the tier 1 teams, major showcases, along with big tournaments post their games. Tier 2, different story, it doesn’t really matter.
But it does go a long way in phallic measuring contests.

Forgive my ignorance, but how do games get logged with My Hockey Rankings? My family has multiple teams and some teams get results logged and some don't. All three teams are PAHL sanctioned and all three business managers shrug their shoulders at me when I asked the question.
Does PAHL do it, is at an organizational level, or are there coaches on the team that log them. Maybe a possibility of any of those options I suppose...
It’s all done by volunteers

Unfortunately or fortunately it’s a different time now. After the PSU fraternity drinking death, underage drinking doesn’t get much sympathy from administration on campuses.
