After this weekend they will drop outside of top 10. If you look at rankings , historically, midget teams ranked 11-15 are NOT guaranteed an at-large

doesnt matter u16 Esmark choked.  CULVER won. and pens will get in via at large.......... YURI reign is coming to an end in pgh..with no u15 he is in trouble

    Pens Elite U16… out

Esmark U16… in final vs Culver

does Pens Elite deserve an at-large bid?

yes they are better and much higher ranked then esmark..  pens where top 10. iF remark was to win tmw they would more then likely be the lowest seed at nationals and wouldn't probably even win a game

Is Esmark really an option? They have no u15 team right now, what are they going to do at u16 team next year. Lot of people say esmark develops it players when in reality they only worry about 16 and 18. The last 20 years all they do is go around and take PPE cuts and pick off other teams. The current 07 esmark team is 80% vengeance players that left cause they did not get what they wanted. It really came down to 2 players. Yurri is now trying to poach all the vengeance u16 team and telling everyone he is getting kids from Cleveland and all over. Lets see what happens. Now the Vengance have some good young teams, but after being together long enough, those teams will blow up by the time they get to bantam/midget. Then you have SHAHA and Pred who have had some success. It's the same thing every year just change the names and teams. So how many tryouts will your kid be in this tryout season. I'll be here with the popcorn watching the heards go from one tryout to another and saying I did not want to play for x team or coach anyway or how they should not play for the faux AAA team and should just play with my PAHL AA that also got cut from those other teams.

never was. what they don't tell parents is they have to have certain number of tenders, tenders mean really nothing. 90 percent of those tenders do not make the nahl team anyways.

the ONLY real AAA option is Pens Elite and thats the truth. most dont wanna believe it though. the NAPHL is a weak Aaa league for the most part..l the beast and teir 1 elite league are 2 pretty darn good leagues

What these rinks need to do is not allow spectators. Treat it like school. You drop your kids off and let the coach be the coach, let the kids be kids. If you have to watch, watch on live barn. The non players have highjacked the sport and need to go.

never happen how do you think pihl makes their money off of fans at games and the home team gets a percentage of that money as well

  5. what ever happened to earning your ice time?    if ou bust your ass in practice and in weight room and are doing the other things then obv it'll show and you have earned your ice time for that weeks game. EVERY kid has good and bad weeks. few weeks later that 3rd line little Johnny might have busted his ass earned more ice time and maybe put up a point or 2. Now little Johnny is on a roll and might get another shot next week with another week of hard practices....

NOW Y'all want equal ice time for ALL? really. thats pretty sad...EARN IT!!!!!!!!!!

THIS GENERATION WOULDNT SURVUVE BOOT CAMP AT THE ARMY OR MARINES!!!!!

Yes maybe a tie for #5 between Meadville and South Fayette, or a 3 way tie for #4 with Penn Trafford.  It will all sort itself out soon enough. I sure hope Pittsburgh Hockey digest does some articles on playoff races as we come down to the wire. I always liked reading their analysis and articles.

penn trafford deserves that 4 spot plus they beat up on outs Fayette back in dec at the showcase in the alpha rink... and by the looks of it sf did beat Meadville in the first game of the season but barley... they play again in a few weeks

Maybe something with that age group in general. From what I have seen over the years parents are getting nuttier and nuttier at the younger age groups.

BOY ARE THEY IN FOR A SUPER LET DOWN, BUT DONT WORRY PPE ESMARK VENG WILL ALL KEEP FEEDING THESE PARENTS THE HOOK LINE AND SINKER UNTIL THE PARENTS ONE DAY COME TO THEMSELVES AND SEE LITTLE JOHNY IS JUST ANOTHER AVERAGE PGH KID
