  1. ‘09s need to be trimming AAA teams, not adding them
  2. That is going to add up to a lot of travel for Badgers and South Pittsburgh
  3. Based on that, MHR is pretty spot on.
  4. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-dominic-mansmann?utm_campaign=m_pd+share-sheet&utm_content=finished_sharing&utm_medium=copy_link_modal&utm_source=customer For those able to help someone in the hockey community. I don’t know the player or family, but always looking to help our fellow players.
  5. I think the idea is to let them play coed through 12U
  6. Yes, he identified himself as the coach who got booted from a game that day by that ref. I'm sure that was enough.
  7. So if it is on campus, that would mean it is a different facility than the current complex, not an addition to it. Is my logic correct?
  8. Yes, but closely tied. I don't think there are many more significant costs other than the ice nut.
  9. Since blackbear moved in, I think a new bar has been set for ice cost locally.
  10. I've heard it isn't a purchase, just a rebrand of the non-profit. 2 entities will remain, Tier 1 and Tier 2.
  11. They would need to replace either the SHAHA or Preds team. There isn’t enough talent for yet another AAA team
  12. It will be interesting to watch for sure. Someone posted above that Esmark is already taking up their ‘09 team for next year.
  13. And I’m sure they have commitments from all the top local ‘09s as well. 🤦‍♂️
  14. based on the scores, no, they are not developing them at all. I would say they are developing at a slower rate than their competition
  15. This is absolutely mind blowing. If you happen to know a parent with a kid on that team, please try to help them.
  16. At no point did I say I was ok with players having to play by 2 different rule sets. I think it is awful that there are 2 widely different sets of rules and players have to remember which league they are playing that game for as to what is allowed. I also didn't say anything about 18U. My point is that the offsides rule for amateur is producing results at the 12U and 14U levels.
  17. The goal of the rule at the amateur level isn't spectator entertainment value, it is player development. The D are required to handle the puck more and be more creative with their puck movement rather than just banging the puck back in the zone. Again, I don't love the extra whistles, but I do see the players adapting and being more creative.
  18. I actually have seen higher level 12u and 14u level players adapt well to it. I think the puck movement on the neutral zone regroups has been noticeably better. I do hate the inadvertent puck bounces, but I think the intended outcome has been realized.
  19. This is correct, and I’ve been told they are not entering stats, just final scores.
