I like that one kid plays at "Northern Alberta XTreme 18u". Next stop, Federal League?

So who puts on the Penguins Cup, Flyers Cup, Pennsylvania Cup? Who's in charge here? Is it you @Pa Hockey ?

the Seneca Valley vs Peters Township game could've tripled the capacity if the tickets were available.

I know a lot more people would have liked to be able to go to the Peters vs SV game and could not because it was sold out.

I am aware of at least one team that has it's draw and schedule for first 3 games in hand already. Probably came with a big fat asterisk and "subject to change" I reckon.

https://nationals.usahockey.com/2022
It says: "Rosters, schedules, and more will be announced Friday, March 18."
-
I'm aware of a few teams without flags in MHR that are going. Not sure what the criteria for a flag is.
-
And so it is! Thanks for that.
-
@Pa Hockey are you sure about the March 26 date for state finals? That's not published anywhere that I can find.
-
You won't have the at-large bids public until the schedule comes out. I wouldn't assume anything but it helps their chances if they were highly ranked.
-
@Pa Hockey must be trying to sway public opinion or something.

I don't understand the criticism of Allegheny, either.
I apologize and need to make something right.
Earlier I suggested that the team will play most of its games in Detroit and Buffalo.
I am mistaken.
When you sign up for Black Bear, you will play most of your games in New Jersey.

You should probably get an EZ Pass @27adams , you're about to get to know the PA turnpike very well!

Am I seeing that right? A playoff game ended in a tie?

Does USA Hockey offer at-large bids for Tier II Nationals like it does for Tier I?
Yes, especially if one more team makes the tournament set-up easier.

Last year this team was criticized because they won too big, now only a goal or two isn't good enough??? what do you want??? No mention of SHAHA going independent and LOSING the game though....
so the team is getting worse but still wants to be independent? <eyeroll>. SHAHA can come back to PAHL too. You all proved yourselves worthy this weekend.

Some Deep Thoughts from the weekend results.
- Cheers to the Pittsburgh kids who won banners while wearing a jersey from another city. That's sad but maybe an indication that the development model in Cranberry needs a tweaking.
- In Tier II at 18u, the best two teams both stumbled. Will Mid-Am make a case to get at least one at large bid?
- Who would win in a game between the SCIR 05s and the NP 06s ? That would be a good game.
- Who would win, truly, in a game between Preds 304 and Preds 18u AAA ? That too would be a close one.
- Allegheny 07s congrats on your win but your results 3-1, 3-2, 3-2, and 3-0 are underwhelming. Come back to earth. PAHL will save you a seat in 16u AA next year.

It appears all schedules and standings for district playoffs are hanging right off the front page of the Mid-Am web site this year.

I predict you will continue to post scores to games as they unfold.

Look at the 2010 Aviators as an example.
That's a problem too but it's a different unicorn. In the south hills, when you don't get your way, you just switch to another org and hop from/to SHAHA, Preds, Mt Lebo. But in the north, when you don't get your way, you take your stick and puck and form your own team in the wild wild west.

Yeah at present I ain't goin' to any of the *stan countries...

Why not go independent and play the top 20 07 teams in the country like they have been?
Because you can get the same or better hockey development while playing most of your games within an hour of your home. Common sense.

LOL. Here's @27adams with "no horse in the race". Guess that was a big lie.
