  4. Your assumptions are ok but not very accurate. The Edina team is very good Varsity Team with 16 Seniors and not JV, its a 2nd Varsity Team of one of the most storied legitimate HS programs in the United States. Also the number of kids at their tryouts is between 125 - 150 Annually. This info is first hand from my conversations from their coaches
  5. Compton is a first class facility and you can compare all you want to just about any college facility in the country. People have come from IND, ILL, CAL, MINN, MICH, OHIO, MD EPA and WPA and all seem to treasure the experience of Notre Dame the campus facility and town. The Hoosier Cup will be move to January hopefully and fill up for years to come. Semis and Final were awesome yesterday all decided by one goal and/or OT.

  12. We are going to start taking nominations for 50 years of players + coaches + teams + officials for the Pennsylvania High School Hockey Hall of Fame in 2024 Thank you for all great thoughts and recognition of high school hockey legends ............your input is greatly appreciated and you are welcome to nominate candidates as a part of the Pennsylvania High School Hockey Hall of Fame General Assembly beginning in 2024......details to follow.
  13. Edina has 4 team Varsity + Junior Varsity teams and Junior V Gold and Junior Gold B. Junior V Gold comes to Notre Dame for Hoosier Cup. My source is coach of Junior V Gold who is in his 70's and has been around for years with program
  14. Edina HS had 165 kids try out from a great source a few years ago
  15. LaSalle is clearly the favorite of the Flyers Cup and AAA in the State. WC East lost a lot of firepower and I expect both Hershey schools to give them a run for their money in Class A, The Western Pa Penguins Cup champ will be battle tested and give the West a very good chance in States for the first time in many years. SF and TJ are very good teams and favorites in Class AA
  16. Meadville had great coach Jamie Plunkett, captive audience with no kool aid, many great players Smart Westfall Phillis, Schedule including the best from Ohio, NY New Jersey Pa and Elsewhere, Oh what High School Hockey could be ? Minnesota has the model and no 18 U AA or A would be needed ?
  17. Pitt ranked # 14 and IUP ranked # 31 in Mid-January rankings Pitt will get auto bid to Nationals and has proven themselves to be competitive against # 8 Liberty and # 7 Ohio U which is why they left CHMA
  18. First of all, Canevin would need to be pure to move to Class A (they have a handful of KO and Seton LaSalle players) They are close and should want to move up. The whole Moon situation was a fiasco and their program has suffered ever since. The whole Open Class /D2 has a lot of pitfalls and instead of developing pure programs has become way less than delivered. The West Virginia Schools are not a part of the Pennsylvania High Hockey Championships and should be in another division similar to Delaware and South Jersey Schools of the Flyers Cup. The PIHL A will have chance in the State Finals as whoever wins will get a less than stellar West Chester East or a new Flyers Cup champion that is nowhere near the WCE Teams or Rustin powerhouses since 2012. Although the Penguins Cup champs will not be the caliber of some the Mars teams or QV Teams or Franklin 2017, they are all pretty competitive.
