Great win by Norwin over McDowell in OT.  

And it couldn’t happen to a nicer group of players and parents - the amount of shit talking and outlandish claims coming from McDowell all season on social media was a disgrace.  

To me USC over Central Catholic and Kiski over North Hills stand out as clear upsets.  

PR has been on fire lately so I am not very surprised at their win vs Seneca.

I would say the gap is closing.

It will be interesting to see which PPE teams get an at-large bid for nationals.  

For U18 it makes sense as they are ranked 6th nationally and made it to MidAm finals.  For U14 same thing - ranked 3rd nationally and lost in the MidAm finals.  U15 earned a trip with a finals win over Esmark.

The big question is U16.  They were out of the tournament after game 2 with two losses to teams ranked much lower than them - 38th and 47th nationally.  Clearly they are not deserving of an at-large bid, then again we have heard this song before.  What teams that are deserving of the at-large bid will get shafted because of the PPE PR machine?

Elections happen each year at the annual meeting.  Every association is invited to attend these.  I went a bunch of years ago and they don't really tell you much in the public meeting.  But you do get to vote on anyone that is running for a position.

In the other A division, Shaler has one game left on their schedule against Freeport on Monday.  According to the pic that someone posted of the A playoff bracket, the winner of the Shaler / Freeport game on Monday has to play North Catholic the following day in the first round.
