Not really a fair statement towards Sluggo. Sluggo is the cream of the crop for hockey guys. Dude is loved everywhere he goes. Could stop at a rest stop in Guetemala and would run into someone there happy to see him.
Whatever the beef is there, have you ever even been in the same room with the cock sucker who’s running Pens now? You would be pining for a guy like Sluggo.
Sluggo…….. Sluggo running the program would be a gift from the hockey gods lol I’ll take sweet Ellen at the pens concession stand running the program at this point.
slug goo ran the hornets and did an amazing job, he was offered a hefty chunk oof change and time within ppe and poof hornets gone.
the guy at the hornets (Dave Klasick) he tried to rectify the Pittsburgh hornets under the lebo hornets until it took off, didn't go to well.

They just need to put the program back into the hands of the Hornets guys to be honest. You know, the ones responsible for 90% of those NHL origin story posters on the walls at the rink.
problem is the one that ran the hornets " sluggo" he's the one that got this ppe shit show on the road too where it is. he was given a 10 year buy out plan. wonder why he isnt there anymore huh.. facts

I’ve seen this. I’ve seen 3 players to a queen size bed and one $5 hot and ready per 4 players all first hand.
If done right, it’s feasible. And hopefully they do it right. If not, it’s truly exhausting and demoralizing.
that's pretty sad if our pinching pennies that bad

This is going to be a big increase in travel. Hopefully the program ensures the increased budget for appropriate travel, lodging and meals to help mitigate the fatigue that comes a long with these long road trips. Good luck to them in their move.
lol they will probably have their players drive themselves to cut costs.

hey if these parents are willing to pay they will continue to go, but I agree they need to be bought out of this for sure..... NONE of the team pa teams have made it into the playoffs YET. but at that age they will tell every parent their kids the next Sid. and they believe it !!!

Does anybody know why the Pens Elite have not posted a roster for their 15U team yet? All the rest are posted except for that team. Just curious!
by looking at the u18 roster there are some shockers for sure making the team..... one of which is deff bc of who daddy is.

Top divisions at UPMC and Ice Castle, Delmont etc, have a lot of Pitt players as well. I think the team that won it all last summer at UPMC was all Pitt
now we have resorted to discussing beer league teams. wow summer time sure is slow

The reality of players from the NAHL playing ACHA M1 Hockey has come and gone. Be ready for a return of Slippery Rock in two years to the CHMA.
the bottom forward and d and scratch mostly end up ACHA m1.

I’m making a point - college is expensive as it is. Education should be the priority. The cost of the club team will definitely rise tremendously from this move. It’s a club sport, not an ncaa sport.
I texted a few folks, as I suspected there are parents behind this. The list is long, a few esmark flunkies who’s tenders never worked out, usphl vengeance junior rejects along with an incoming freshman family who’s father was always tossing money at yuri. @Law is obviously one of these parents.
very true. but 1/maybe 10 remark tenders ever work out. and the freshman daddy heard he spear headed this

bad move by Pitt. they won't hang with Lindenwood. ( who is rumored to be going d1 in next few seasons ). and if they have to play Adrian as well thats 4 loses right off the bat

I looked at the 16U roster. Yikes, the poster above was right….hardly any AAA or legit AA kids tryout…where are the legit AA and higher skaters from Vengeance and Esmark. Understood this is beneath PPE. But, looking at that roster, it looks more like some A Major kids who are friends of the coach.
Who actually evaluates and picks the team?
folks are starting to realize the bill of goods promised is a bunch of bs. Having to go all over the country to play 20-80 ranked teams, and playing in a sub par naphl just isnt worth the time anymore. look at iceman they didn't last in the aa league very long.
-
how can anyone ever trust this program again, espically after that rug pull... looks like recruiting is sub par nahl and ncdc kids. not very many USHL kids will trust to come to RMU.
-
call it how it really is. Pittsburgh is not a hockey hot bed like alot of folks think it is. the best kids once they hit midgets leave bc there is nothing else for pgh to offer them and the really good ones that stay end up for the most part usphl premier or ncdc.

I don't disagree with you, but I don't think the volunteer run Boards have the time or energy to do it, unfortunately. It's a cycle that repeats over and over. By the time people realize these things, they are moving on and don't care about what is coming behind them.
And there is always someone out there with their hands out, ready to give parents the truth they want to hear in exchange for their dollars.
how abuts there anyone who isnt trying to get their money??????

Yeah but it is free. Isn't that the knock that many of you have with the Vengeance and other Tier 3 Junior teams? That they are a waste of money?
and If you think the top kids on tier3 teas are paying to play? I can tell you they ARE NOT

?the worst ones are the skills coaches that parlay a paid coaching gig in to private lessons where the kids feel obligated to take lessons from that coach.
that's how the shitty kids get ice time though lol
