  1. Already there is a push by local teams to go play tourneys in Ohio due to whats happening here in WPA. If the PAHL shuts down, this will probably happen big time. At that point, not sure how much people will care about the games being under MIDAM and usa hockey. It will be a fiasco.
  2. The PAHL is highly influenced by Darcee. I seriously doubt that she will go against Wolf, instead of fighting it. I really don't have a good feeling about playing PAHL games until 1/1 Hopefully I'm wrong on this.
  3. No, although I would be willing to look into that and they may be playing in some of the tourneys we are looking to play in. ours are tourneys run by a major tourney company looking to fill their tourneys.
  4. Looking for 1 to 3 AA or AAA forwards who would like to play in a tourney in the Cleveland area Sept. 11-13 at the 18uAA level. Roughly $70/pp + hotel on your own or share with a buddy. Direct message me ASAP. NO COMMITMENT NEEDED- independent / tourneys only - just want to play some hockey!!!
  5. Another not surprising headline New Study Argues COVID Herd Immunity May Have Already Been Reached in Some Regions of US https://www.westernjournal.com/new-study-argues-covid-herd-immunity-may-already-reached-regions-us/ this is the PRIMARY reason we should have never locked down in the first place. Humans have survived viruses for the 200,000 years that they’ve been on earth. Until this year we’ve never tried to resist herd immunity until our states were shut down and we were forced into self quarantine which is opposite and holds back herd immunity
  6. This is shocking but NOT surprising This Week CDC Quietly Updated COVID-19 Numbers – Only 9,210 Americans Died From COVID-19 Alone – Rest Had Other Other Serious Illnesses further proof that we’ve all been duped and the liberals continue to lock down their states unnecessarily. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/08/shock-report-week-cdc-quietly-updated-covid-19-numbers-9210-americans-died-covid-19-alone-rest-serious-illnesses/
  7. During the meeting at Center Ice, I’m fairly sure I saw Darcee there but didn’t see her approach or talk to any of the state reps that were there. I could be wrong and I wasn’t there just to watch her, but I sure believe things would have been a bit more positive had she stood up there with the reps / senators and talked about how hard the Pahl is trying to play with full rosters. Instead it was >crickets<. i haven’t read anywhere where the Pahl is asking to meet with state reps/senators and tell them how many kids this is affecting of hockey is blocked... and how many rinks will be hit hard financially as well. if I was running the Pahl damn well I would be on the phone with Toomey, Casey and all the local state reps, Allegheny county officials... and doing all I can. i am not reading anything about what the Pahl is doing other than coming up with plan a and plan b, both of which are lousy. a bit discouraging in my opinion.
  8. Sorry but I am dropping off our cable boxes on Monday. I know that breaks your heart. And to correct you, the antifa and BLM stuff put me over the top. Anyone who wants to burn down and destroy the country isn’t a buddy of mine. Crap Er Nick started the downward spiral of the nfl and they will continue to plummet this year too. pro sports teams aren’t learning the lesson that they need to stay out of politics or they’re losing their audience.
  9. Yeah, and Logan Couture gets sucker punched up in Toronto for talking about how he supports Trump, then is trounced on Social Media and forced to "apologize". Glad the Pens are out of it. I can't take any more of this PC - social justice crap. I've always treated everyone the same. We're cancelling our cable on Monday. No need to watch any professional sports anymore.
  10. We need 14 democrat state house reps and 3-4 democrat state senators to make this veto proof. The road block is on one side of the aisle, for an issue that should be bi-partisan.
  11. Here are the individual interviews with the two PA congress people:
  12. I was there and videoed the whole thing. I will post the whole meeting in a little while... so that everyone can watch.
  13. I could probably live with 4 on 4 full games but the 2 half stuff is garbage.
  14. I think that's something we're looking into and hope to get more clarification...
  15. A WORD TO THE WISE - DO NOT SPEED DOWN Route 22 FROM MURRYSVILLE. IT IS A SPEED TRAP!! Police routinely do speed monitoring on 22 all the way from Murrysville to Delmont. Many people have got tickets in that stretch.
  16. I hope the Pahl just holds status quo and waits to see what happens between now and Oct. 1, but knowing some of the leadership there doesn’t make me have much faith in that.
  17. @Quinlan2020 my son who’s in his last year of eligibility wants to play very badly, as he wants to build his resume to get on a good acha team next fall. So it is very important to him. He’s also practical in that if hockey is cancelled till 1/1, he’s going to work, play roller and dek hockey and do college courses. He will find other things to occupy his time. However he’d much rather be playing with his hockey buddies that he’s known for years. Cancelling hockey will hurt these aspiring college players, everyday kids who just enjoy the sport, Coaches and volunteers like me who enjoy getting out of the house and helping, and really hurt the rink owners.
  18. 50 people in a 35 degree, 20,000 square foot building Equals a lot of social distancing....
  19. Can we get the exact time for this? Thank you
  20. Let's hear your predictions on what will happen to Western PA hockey if the PAHL does either if it's dumb proposed moves. 1) teams will play outside the PAHL, either locally or in WV or OH. I am highly interested in going this route. More on this later after the PAHL decision. 2) if cancelling till 1/1/21, kids will quit because they don't want to wait. Some kids will go to teams that opt to play outside the PAHL and do an independent schedule. Some will quit and play video games, work or play another sport. Some will quit entirely. My prediction is a significant #of players won't wait around till 1/1/21. 3) if going to 9 at a time on each side. Player losses as well here, not sure to the extend but I can see players leaving PAHL teams for other local teams who opt to play outside the PAHL. My guess is that Darcee and the rest of the PAHL board are way underestimating the effect that changing off of regular hockey will have on rosters across the PAHL.
  21. What are teams outside of PGH in PA doing? What's going on in the Philly area? Has anyone from the PAHL even reached out to see what they're doing in different areas or is the PAHL going at this on it's own? Seems like the first course of action BEFORE changing to 1/1/21 or going to the silly 9 on 9 is trying to get all the hockey orgs onboard to request a change/exemption to 50-60 people inside a 17,000-20,000 square foot building just like the PIAA worked on. I'd rather delay a month and get this worked out than either Plan A or B. How do viruses spread at 40 degrees temperature anyways???
