  1. I can't believe I am saying this - but I actually agree with this. I think if PAHL did similar things like All-star games - including even the A Major and A Minor players - three separate divisions (AA, A Major and A Minor), perhaps explore moving teams up/down divisions around middle of season if don't get some placements right (yes I know logistics around game schedules), hire a video crew and do a featured game of the week like PIHL, etc., perhaps it would make it more fun and keep more players and teams around. It would just be nice to see some innovation. It will be interesting to see what the new leadership does.

  2. I dunno, seems like a combo PAHL/AHF situation is pretty appealing. Better than doing five random MyHockey type tournaments where you end up facing a PAHL team from Pittsburgh. Doing AHF showcases and then the resulting playoffs if the team qualifies as well as PAHL doesn't seem like a bad situation. AHF also seems to do a good job with stats and they also put together all star teams and all star games for top performers in each division. I'm sure the AHF is not perfect but they seem to be doing some innovative things. Their Krach rating is interesting and makes sense for unbalanced schedules, and I'm sure they don't do a FPP.

  3. The Rebellion 14U girls team was part of the TGHF last year. The 2009BY team is now affiliated with the AHF. I have two kids playing with the Rebellion. Great organization.

  4. Looks like Rebellion is a showcase only organization which means they still play PAHL and replace one or two travel tournaments with the AHF showcases? Im actually a big fan of this because the AHF showcases are not stay to play.

  5. I think people are searching for better teams with kids that want to play. PAHL is filled with mixed talented teams and some better players land on those teams and never get a chance to play AA at PAHL. So in return you get bad AAA teams that should just be AA

  6. This is a big point. If you don't live in Bethel/Peters/USC it's a pain in the rear.

  7. I don’t think anyone suggested they should not be paid. The point was they shouldn’t be allowed to extort the players with paid private lessons in return for playing time.

  8. You can learn alot on half ice. But you also can't work on the all important zone entry, and since you have to carry a puck out of the zone rather than ice it on the PK, you can't really work on that very well either.
