Doesn't an EMT need parental consent to request an ambulance? I heard of a situation at a football game where a kid broke his arm and couldn't be taken off the field till a parent was present. I wouldn't jump on the ice, but I would sure like to be at the glass to talk to the EMT if an ambulance needed to be called.

Seems to me that every rink I have been at already has all the protocols in place. The person standing at the door not letting people in Yesterday might be the same one to count people on Friday. Wasn't going from one extreme to the other what was happening when the Judge ruled against him then the appeals court granted his stay. This has been a cluster that Wolfie could have avoided. I wouldn't vote for him to be dog catcher. I choose to live in America (land of the free home of the brave) until the 2020 Pandemic).

Definitely not coming after you. I bet you had to be really frustrated with that. I know I will be if I have to wait out in the parking lot tomorrow with no live barn. Too many games to reschedule? Too much money to be lost by not playing Thursday games. What happens if both teams don't show up Thursday? Why the arbitrary goes into effect on Friday? Oh because the Governor picked that day. Makes sense to me. Did you get to watch your kid's game on live barn? Did you sit out in the parking lot and wait? I just sure hope everyone remembers this if Mr Wolf ever decides to run for another office. He obviously has no clue and sure doesn't think things through.

I think it would be Silly and Dumb to play the Thursday schedule 4 on 4 then switch to regular Hockey. Also would make no sense at all to not permit at least parents into the rinks for Thursday night games. I still say it would be far worse for a kid to have to wait till his parent comes into the rink if he gets hurt. Hope they are thinking about it!

700 is the capacity in the stands. Who knows what the total occupancy is? Might be a problem for High School Hockey with Students but I can't believe they will have a problem with Middle school. I guess the only way to enforce the limit will be to keep count of total people in the facility. Then stop letting people in when it reaches the limits. I'm sure the capacity at UPMC & RMU is much higher. Bigger buildings!

I saw 700 or more for Mt Lebo seating capacity. Plus however many the ice would hold. I would think 150 would more than fill the needs of JV and MS Hockey for PIHL.

Very interesting. I am anxious to see how the rankings shake out in the first weeks. So if they don't have 5 games they get no ranking at all or until they get to five games? I seem to remember that there was discussion here last year about making the top 6 in Tier 1 Midam to qualify for playoffs. MidAm and USA Hockey use these Rankings for their tournaments? Are there any competing Ranking services?

Way past due! What's going to happen to the PIHL games between now and Friday. There are a whole lot on the schedule. I don't think I would want to let them play without parents. Expecting parents to sit in a parking lot waiting for an emergency call is ludicrous at best and clearly a bad bad idea.

Thanks, that did a great job of explaining it. Do they take into account last years rankings at all in determining a starting point for this year? How many games do you need for an initial ranking? This is all very interesting to this rookie!

From a novice to all of this. How accurate are the My Hockey rankings? Can they be manipulated by strength of schedule? Is that why the PPE do not play any local Tier 1 teams? I find it all very interesting.

This would be awesome news. I sure hope the PIHL is prepared to change all the crazy rules and let them play real Hockey Tonight and Thursday. There are 17 or so games on the schedule today and Thursday. How fast will MidAm respond. someone needs to tell them to pay attention today!

Does Mt Lebo have live barn? Is there any way to watch games from that rink? I would think that PIHL is opening itself up to Litigation by not permitting one parent in the rink. I would hate to be them if someone gets hurt and there is a delay in care because a guardian is not present. I know it is about letting the kids play but this is just STUPID. I sure do hope people remember this come the elections and vote out the people who would not overturn Wolfs veto. Hard to believe that politics is more important than our kids.

I just heard the same thing with games starting October 5th. Wonder if they are going to leave it to the teams to somehow enforce the 1 parent per player rule. The only place I have heard it is actually enforced is at Lemieux for PPE games.

I know the PIHL had some Organizational meetings this weekend. Anybody care to share what's going on? When will they start playing games?

Looks like the 06 team got 2 games in over the weekend against Buffalo at UPMC. Anybody know if they allowed Spectators at the games Buffalo won 2 against the Vengeance last weekend and lost 2 to the PE according to My Hockey rankings.

Still no games for PPE! Does anyone know if they have anything scheduled this weekend and if they have eased up on the restrictions at UPMC Rink? Last I heard they were still being very strict with all the requirements. I would sure be unhappy if I were a PPE parent with no games at this point. Maybe all the practices will make them better! Most AAA teams in this area seem to have at least 4 and as many as 8 recorded games already.

Exactly, makes a whole lot of sense to me. Now we have to be able to play without having any major outbreaks. We have been doing it since June so I don't see why not. Just have to be smart about it. Sure glad MidAm did something. Makes me have a little more faith in them. Now PIHL and PAHL need to follow through.

Didn't the Federal Judges ruling allow them to go back to regular hockey? Don't they (USA Hockey, MidAM & Atlantic) have lawyers that can interpret the ruling as it pertains to youth Hockey? Why aren't they coming out with some kind of statement? I guess they don't want to make the lame duck governor mad!!!!

Yes the PIHL proposal is pretty silly as well. So is the only way we are going to play real Hockey is if the Governor says we can? I really find it hard to believe that the split ice thing came from the Governors office. But Miked said it did so I will believe him.

Wow, you nailed it! I hope you are right about the lawyers researching it. Seems pretty clear to me! If the 25 limit is unconstitutional were is the problem with playing regular Hockey. I would be asking for my money back if my kid played on a PAHL team that is going to follow the 25 limit.

Who is going to be the first to test it now that it has been deemed Unconstitutional? Why hasn't MidAm or Atlantic come out with a statement in regard to their position on this? Everyone hopes Wolf will relax his position but it seems he is pretty stubborn. I would just like him to show us the research that supports his position. Pa is ranked 9th in toughest Covid restrictions.
