  1. Blame it on the parents. To many parents want their kid to be the SUPERSTAR of the team and don't want a another kid to threaten that or they may not get seen by scouts. Then you have the pare5that won't let their kid play with another kid because they don't like that kids parents. Then comes in the parents that refuse to let their kid play for a parent coach. At all age groups if the best kids played together Pittsburgh would have 2 or 3 strong AAA teams and some really good AA teams.
  2. Calm down buddy, you got off topic with the PIHL and super bowl thing. Lol The post was how MHR were pretty accurate and things went the way they were supposed to go at Midams. We get it, your kid plays at Pens, why else would you make all the excuses for them. No one singled out the 15o group until you just did. There probably was injuries ON BOTH SIDES. I am pretty sure the Pens added kids throughout the year also, not just Esmark if they did. If you go and look at the game sheets and standings the Pens struggled in 3 of their 4 games. The 9-4 didn't matter to Esmark because they already clinched a spot in the championship game before the Pens did. Looks like Esmark even played their backup G. The 2-0 in the finals was pretty close until the empty net goal scored with 24 seconds left. You would make the same excuses if the Pens lost. https://www.midamhockey.com/ In case you want to look it up. In the end the Pens won every division they were favored and lost the 1 they were not. MHR spread or not got everything right.
  3. I plan on rooting for the Pittsburgh teams at nationals. My kids have a lot of friends on those teams and it's always nice to see a Pittsburgh team do well on the big stage. The numbers were good for every age group except 1, seems pretty accurate to me.
  4. 3rd shift, naw independent. No baseball, to slow but you really seem to be stuck on that. Now it's time to travel with all the money I saved. Spring break is coming and then summer woooo.
  5. Just like in Pittsburgh the pro organization really has nothing to do with the Jr teams besides letting them use their names, colors and logos. It's considered a non profit and used as a write-off.
  6. Will do and while I'm at it I will pick you up some more tin foil for your hat.
  7. You must be one of the delusional parents that drink the PPE Kool aid. It's PPE or nothing roar. Your kid must suck of he doesn't have a yellow helmet. You don't have a pro logo on your warm-ups, ha peasant. You don't have DICKS scrolling across your head, you are sooo jealous. My kid has what those kids have just at a fraction of the price. He goes to a great public school without paying extra, he gets great skills/skating without paying extra and has gotten a ton of recognition without being pushed ahead of other kids because of his yellow helmet. There is 00.00 jealousy going on. There are other options besides PPE to be seen in Pittsburgh, you just have to stop drinking the Kool aid. Those parents pay that much money to win and that's what they did. Good for them. They did what they were supposed to do.
  8. Jealous because I don't HAVE to spend $30,000 a year plus $$ on an advisor for my kid to get recognized. Guilty βœ‹πŸ»βœ‹πŸ»πŸ€£πŸ€£
  9. Let me rephrase it for you since my wording was a little off. This is why the parents pay $30,000 a year, to win!
  10. While most of this is true, If you are 1 of the top teams in the country and can not take care of a 50th/60th ranked team handedly (no matter how good the goalie is) maybe USA hockey should reevaluate that at large bid, if it were to have come down to that.
  11. Isn't that why the parents pay over $30,000 a year, to win? 13u 1st seed (7th overall) supposed to win by 3, they did vs 2nd seed (24th overall) 14u 1st seed (4th overall) supposed to win by 3, they did vs 2nd seed (28th overall) 15u 1st seed (4th overall) supposed to win by 6, won by 2 with an empty net vs 6th seed (60th overall) 16u 1st seed (17th overall) supposed to win by 3, won by 4 vs 6th seed (41st overall) 18u 2nd seed (17th overall) supposed to lose by 2, lost by 2 to the 1st seed (7th overall)
  12. This is the problem with having score sheets, the parents have to ruin it once again. Goalie parents are the WORST by far and most of them don't know what a REAL shit on goal is and want everything thrown near their kid listed as a shot. They yell at the coaches, refs and score keepers if their kids don't get their assist or shots right. I know parents that have actually called and Emailed the teams, leagues and companies running a tournament because they keep their own stats and even send video clips of their kids not getting a 2nd assist or a shot went off their kid and someone else got the goal. Parents ruin everything in youth sports.
  13. But but but I thought the Blue division was Class A -2 because none of their teams were as good as the Gold division.
  14. The "BETTER" teams get more picks. Coaches pick the kids from their team. They take WAY to many kids off the bat between Western PA, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia. On top of that EVERY Midam team gets at least 1 invite plus some school teams as long as they are registered with Midams. To answer your question NO, it absolutely should not go entirely on stats. It SHOULD go to kids that know how to play as a team and not the ones who's parents push them to put up 100 goals and 00 assists. Like Herb Brooks said "I'm not looking for the best players, Craig. I'm looking for the right ones." Unfortunately with Midams that isn't always true either when it comes to the 2nd round. 9 times out of 10 ALL the yellow helmets with get the call back, usually ALL the red helmets and then the coaches kids or kids who's parents know someone at USA hockey and then the best kids to fill the open spots.
  15. Yes, the Dr. owns the rink. It is listed under an LLC that leads to his home address.
  16. All of that was built for their AAA teams mainly the 08/09 crew that started their youth organization. It was also built to lure new kids/families with shiny new toys. That Jr team is the red headed step child of that place.
  17. The non profit will be a write-off for the good Dr. for all of his "donations" to the Vengeance AAA teams. The positives are 1. You will get a coach/GM that can out drink any of the parents and just got off of his 2nd DUI. He will coach your kids while on house arrest and wearing his ankle monitor. 2. You get professional EX athletes as coaches that will teach the dads how to cheat on their wives when they go out of town. 3. You get the flashy locker rooms with the fake walls that you have to walk 1/8th of a mile and through another building to get to the rink. 4. You have the "state of the art gym" that only 6 kids at a time can use but that's okay because they have a shooting area smaller than the one in your basement and 1/20th of a basketball court. You also get the front "lounge area" with the high top bar tables. Can't forget the video room that doesn't hold the whole team so kids sit on the floor. But you do get some cool swag and jerseys.
  18. They also have this guy in their organization https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/owner-sharpsburg-car-dealership-accused-ripping-off-customers/WLK4JJI6IRCI3OFVKCLJN64ZDQ/
  19. This right here☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻. I know for a fact that in 1 Tier 1 AAA birth year that 4 of the the top 10 teams in the country have parent coaches. I know "pay for" coaches that are worse than parent coaches. The people usually complaining about parent coaches know NOTHING about hockey and just repeat what they hear other complaining parents say or they THINK their kid is better than they are. If you don't like it then volunteer/apply yourself.
  20. Usually someone does, I am surprised that no has yet with some of these people.
  21. Almost every local organization has posted their tryouts either on their website or Facebook EXCEPT for national bound teams.
  22. The "good doctor" that owns the Vengeance will probably use the Renegades non-profit as some sort of write-off to cover his losses with the Vengeance since he can only claim so much as "donations".
