Swearingen at a ref definitely should be punished, but a match? I agree with you. I have also seen a ref have a kid yell and swear at him while the ref was removing the kid for fighting, the ref didn’t say a word and just removed him from the ice. The kid then flipped off the whole crowd. Only penalties the kid got was for the fight.

So what were the promises you claim he made to them? Are you claiming he told these kids that they were going to the NHL? I highly doubt that. And we all know that “shared” information is often incorrect or at the very least ill informed. Just like in the past, unless you speak to people on both sides and know facts, you should probably keep your opinion to yourself. You are a very knowledgeable about youth hockey, but should stick to presenting facts and information instead of sharing stories from one side of a story.

There you have it, the Elite prospects site is probably correct, Tomahawks site probably missing players. I didn’t think it would be possible to play at that level with only 14 skaters. Thanks.

I was looking at the roster for the NAHL Tomahawks as I am hoping to go see a game sometime. They have only 6 forwards listed on their roster, only 8 D. That is extremely small. Yet they are around .500. Is there a mistake on their site or do they really play with 6 forwards, and only 14 total skaters and are somehow doing average in the NAHL? Did they recently lose a bunch of players?

The number of players that play amateur and not high school is small. You are correct in that it usually very good player, but the number of kids is not very high. And would not have much effect on the percentages. And they need to be counted in case they decide to play in December because they want to play with their friends.

I’d like to know if the schools get their money back from PIHL. Just kidding, I am sure they don’t. People getting ripped off.

Definitely not allowed to go back and forth. But one could choose to “move down” after playing for their aaa team. But that would make them ineligible for the AAA team.

The coach has swapped all players from F to D and vice versa. The coach has told them to pass the puck more than necessary. It hasn’t stopped the lopsided scores. Their development is being slowed. And the goalies are getting absolutely NO development stopping 1 or 2 shots a game.

The kids are not having fun pounding teams and leaving the ice 30 minutes earlier. It was fun the first time, the second and third time were not as exciting. I haven’t yelled at one person. I have been through this also. My kids are out of hockey. I have coached and been a parent of PAHL players since 2009. I have never seen a pre-season placement this bad. I am happy your kids had fun, maybe you can hope our kids do too.

Answer the question, would you be alright with your kid playing on a team that doesn’t get to finish games because they are placed so badly? I never said any kid was a star player. I only said that the team is placed very poorly. And if you don’t think it would hinder development playing 10 games a year playing only two of the three periods and pounding teams 10-0 hurts development, keep your opinion to yourself. Because of that is the case, you obviously don’t know anything anyway. I never once claimed that any kid on the team was a star player. Never suggested any of the kids was a potential star. Never said anything about how good the team was. Just said they are placed very poorly. have a nice day. Glad you take pleasure in others misery. Shows what a good person you are.
