Pa Hockey
PA HOCKEY - 2022 PENNSYLVANIA CUP PREVIEW 2022 PENNSYLVANIA CUP AAA CHAMPIONSHIPS STATE FINAL OUTLOOK: Malvern Prep's Hockey Program has been one of the storied Hockey Programs in the State of Pennsylvania during the 2000's winning the Flyers Cup 5 straight years under John Graves. The Friars have won 10 Flyers Cups and 3 State Championships in their history, which is not shabby by any means. Malvern Prep has hit the skids since 2005 in a decade dominated by LaSalle with the Explorers winning 8 Flyers Cups in 11 years to go with 5 Pennsylvania Crowns. The Friars under Bill Keenan have resurfaced in a big way in 2021 and capped off a very good regulat season by defeating LaSalle in overtime to earn a spot in the Pennsylvania Final. Peters Township is a resume builder program with 13 trips to the Penguins Cup 7 Chmpionships and 5 Pennsylvania State Titles. The Indians have the deepest programs in the State with 75 players in Development at all times under Rick Tingle and swept trough the Penguins Cup unblemished. This will be a terrific final between a veteran Malvern team and a red hot Peters squad. While Malvern s favored, I like Peters to upset their recent run with a 4-3 overtime victory
Pa Hockey
PA HOCKEY - 2022 PENNSYLVANIA CUP PREVIEW 2022 PENNSYLVANIA CUP AA CHAMPIONSHIPS STATE FINAL OUTLOOK: Pennridge has assaulted the Flyers Cup field like an eighteen wheeler on the Pa Turnpike passing anything in its way for their first Flyers Cup. Hardly an incubator to prepare for the State Championship game. The Rams are a very talented team with three strong lines and very good defensively and in goal. Enter Thomas Jefferson who survived two death sentences in this playoff season including a 4 goal rally against Franklin Regional to win in overtime and advance to Pennsylvania's title game. The Jaguars are deep and balanced and can olay with anyone. This is going to be the best matchup in this year's final. Thomas Jefferson will go for the hat trick and win its 4th State Title 4-3 over Pennridge.
Pa Hockey
PA HOCKEY - 2022 PENNSYLVANIA CUP PREVIEW 2022 PENNSYLVANIA CUP A CHAMPIONSHIPS STATE FINAL OUTLOOK: Norwin enters the 2022 Final with their schools first Penguins Cup in tow. My long shot pick for the Penguins Cup will raise a Banner at Center Ice Arena and the question is will this Hoosier story continue against one of Pemmsylvania's best team at any level. Excuse me but no one will give the Knights any love but me. Norwin can score and skate three lines and their goaltending will be under seige. Last years final against Indiana, West Chester East just kept coming and won Championship # 3 for the Vikings. My guess is this game will take shape in the 2nd period and West Chester East will put an exclamation point on # 4. The longer Norwin can hang with this team the more chance they have on make it prolong. I am more of a realist than a believer and the Vikings will win this one 6-2 over Norwin Knights

Ref33
That A game was ugly. WCE was just superior. The AA game - fantastic! Thankfully it ended on a nice clean goal. Would love to know what the Pennridge goalie said to the ref (during play) to get the US penalty. The AAA game - well the delay in starting allowed the collection of parents to imbibe for another hour. There was a decent size group of Malvern parents that were LOADED before the start of the game. The PT group seemed a bit better. They only had 2 dads who were yelling like crazy though only one of them seemed drunk. Good tight game. PT seemed to be deeper. Malvern's top guys were gassed in the third but they stayed on the ice.
