  2. @RJUSHL: competition was solid this season. Even the top teams were defeated during league play (nobody ran the table), and the battle for the upper half playoff bracket was down to the last game. @nemesis8679: was only 15 games this season and I thought I heard it was 20 last season as well. Would have been nice to have a few extra games but the 14U div had 8 teams so a home and away vs each team so the ideal number would have been 21 or 14… could be something that floats each year, assuming they adjust costs to match the game amounts. It’s kinda hard to get schools to commit though without knowing exactly how many games they are getting and how much they are paying. Could be just planned for 2-3 games between teams and a preseason fee range to be cemented as the league registrations are finalized.

  4. How the heck do 2011s get an invite only? I suspect PPE black and PV kids all got invites? That's pretty much all that's out there no? Small list I suppose.

  5. Pretty sure this fake, considering the name is (Loose A**hole) and the other comment came from (Tight A**hole). Just a hunch on my part though.

  7. Maybe they are joining the black bear league. Who knows. I'm no union guy but I'm at the point that if an AA team wants to go 100% independent, PAHL should perhaps unite a bit and isolate these jokers through some solidarity. So you're too good for the local market and you want to cherry pick your competition? Fine. Have fun playing all your games in Buffalo and Detroit. Let's go Darcee. Make it happen. There is no reason you can't play both an independent schedule with a PAHL schedule. ESPECIALLY AT 2006 where there is a ton of local talent.

  8. The 07 team has some really good kids on it but they will not go Tier 1, they like winning championships to much and that wouldn't happen in Tier 1.

  9. To drum up interest in these 05, 06 and 07 Esmark teams, my hunch is the coaches will not be kicking any players off of the ice that invited themselves and found out about these skates through friends, social media, etc. The more kids they get thinking they can make any of those teams the better the headcount for the upcoming tryouts. Remembering that last year after the 06 team folded immediately after tryouts, no act of good faith came from the organization thereafter as tryouts fees were not returned to those that paid and were actually offered a spot on the 06 team that was disbanded soon thereafter. Tryouts continue to be a huge money maker for all organizations. 50 skaters @ $165 per for four tryout sessions = $8,250........not a bad haul.
