  1. I see a lot of players at the D2 level from jr's and or high end AAA teams. The competitive teams do a good job of recruiting these young men. It is harder and harder for a kid our of high school to make a college team.

  2. That's 100% correct, but don't tell Danner. Unless they play for Liberty or Adrian they should all quit hockey. Then Liberty and Adrian can play each other 42 times in the regular season, best of 3 in the quarters, best of 5 in the semis and best of seven in the finals. Then, and only then will there be a true Champion. Has anyone heard of FAU? Those kids should have all quit basketball in Danner's world. It must absolutely suck to live in danner's world.

  3. As a parent of an Aviator on the team that won PAHL, this is news to me. As they get ready for tryouts next weekend, I hope the plan is to stay in PAHL. The majority of the team played AA in their first year of peewee against all 09 teams. We got killed all year but it paid off this year when I thought we were stronger physically than most 2010 teams. I would hope the plan is to stay in PAHL and play AA minor. I know that I don’t need my son to be on a “AAA” team to feel validated.

Coaches Rick Tingle and Wally Muehlbronner continue to write history and this matchup is a great testimony to two of Pennsylvnia's finest. Peters has made easy work of it opponents while LaSalle followed suit to win their record 11th Flyers Cup. Both teams have depth with the edge in goaltending going to the Explorers. I think Peters is riding a wave of experience and confidence and will have their hands full with LaSalle. The Indians will have a wild card in this one and pull out a 4-3 epic win in front of a sellout crowd at RMU.

  5. Actually, Perk Valley played in the AAA Flyers Cup this year because they were not pure but were strong enough to compete (i.e. they had 2 players from another school district that did not have a team). I don't think they played any AAA teams during the regular season. The other thing to note is that teams here in the East are not in leagues broken down by AAA/AA/A, at least in the Inter-County. For the most part they are broken into conferences that are based on their PIAA leagues, regardless of school size. For example, ChesMont is the West Chester schools, the Downingtown schools, Unionville and Avon Grove. Some of those schools are A and some are AA. They play each other, as well as non-conference games. Then they get placed for Flyers Cup based on their AA or A size.
