  1. I agree we need to meet in the middle. I know we can never go back to 2019 way of life. But we can't continue at this level either. Isn't meeting in the middle what we are doing now? Some limits need to be tweaked based on the fact that most people are adhering to the mask and social distance requirements. I'm not saying all or nothing I'm saying reasonable measures and quit sensationalizing the pandemic for personal and political advantages. While a lot of people are suffering economically a lot are also getting rich from all this.
  2. Does anyone know if Alpha is still having their Tournament this weekend? 08 to 11 AAA teams. If they are it would be interesting to see what format they are using for play. No live Barn at Alpha so no parents or spectators would be a real bummer.
  3. So you say that you think 25 for all situations is unreasonable but you are willing to live with it. That's the difference between you and most others on here. Seems like they are willing to at least try to get this adjusted. If you were looking at the stats as this all spiked in July and August it was mainly young people who were partying as they do. They have to learn and sometimes the hard way. But within that the hospitalizations didn't rise proportionally and reach critical phases as they did in March. PA hospitals have never been stretched to the limit. Fact is we need to learn to live with the virus. Even with a vaccine it's not going away. I think we need to quit publicizing the numbers. Will they publicize the numbers of Flu cases this fall? What about the numbers of people who die of heart disease per day. When will the media stop sensationalizing this?
  4. Quinlan2020, Just one Question. Do you think the 25 person indoor limit is OK or should it be revised upward? I'm just curious but guessing from your stance on this forum I would say you are ok with it and feel that Wolf knows best.
  5. https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator/county_list.cfm?CNTYLIST=ALLEGHENY This is a list of All Allegheny County State Reps. I bet 80 percent are Democrats who voted no. You can get the same lists for other counties by modifying the search.
  6. Anything would be a good idea. The Pod concept is being used in Allegheny County for Football. But right now Allegheny county is more restrictive than the State on Outdoor gatherings. Whose going to ask the state if they would go for it?
  7. There are a whole bunch of Allegheny County Democrats that voted no. If your State Rep is a Democrat chances are they voted no last time. We need to get after them to let our kids play.
  8. Adam Ravenstahl District 20 up by Millvale needs to be contacted. I would imagine this is SCIR Renegades Territory. He voted no last time.
  9. A lot will depend on how well the virus is controlled thru Football and Soccer seasons. Although I think the best shot is the passage of the proposed bill by 2/3rds vote.
  10. Interesting! I thought Alpha never shut down. Heard Vengenance was practicing all spring!
  11. Not sure I would agree that all your points are valid. I must be in the minority!
  12. Hopefully the Wolf bashing will get people to realize that he has been the worst Governor this state has ever had. I sure didn't vote for him! My biggest complaint is that he doesn't even try to explain the rationale for what he does.
  13. Love it, Thanks! We can have fun with those!
  14. The unfortunate thing is that there is an entire section devoted to Sports that people seem to try and ignore going the Recreational Facility route. Yes thanks for sharing. Didn't see the Sports Guidance Articles before you pointed it out! Bummer! Just another confusing situation. I'm guessing then that an open Skate could have 50% occupancy. Thought I was on to something! Too Good to be true! Haha
  15. Look up the Mt Lebanon Rink. It is defined as a Recreation Center. Seems pretty clear to me. I bet the rinks could get together and hire a lawyer or I bet there are Hockey Parents who are lawyers that would take up the fight just as the Carlisle Car Show did.
  16. Recreational facilities means any building or premise where people assemble for entertainment or social, relaxing including sporting purposes, amusement park, sport centre, billiard-room, skating ring and a public or private sports club facility, but does not include any building or site for a gambling premises, place of entertainment, functions or adult entertainment; Pretty Clear to me!
  17. Found this definition on the internet. Pretty clear that an Ice Rink is a recreational facility. Recreational facilities means any building or premise where people assemble for entertainment or social, relaxing including sporting purposes, amusement park, sport centre, billiard-room, skating ring and a public or private sports club facility, but does not include any building or site for a gambling premises, place of entertainment, functions or adult entertainment;
  18. Scooby Doo you seem to have connections at PAHL. Why aren't they considering rinks Recreational Facilities? They are allowed 50% occupancy. I'm sure that's more than 25 people.
  19. Has any Rink asked for a clarification? Who said Rinks are not Indoor Recreation Facilities? Sure would be a question for the people tonight at Delmont.
  20. OK so I am confused aren't rinks considered Indoor Recreation Facilities? How did rinks get put in a different category?
  21. If there are so many of us that feel this way why are we letting the politicians tell us how to live our lives? So many people in financial ruin because of government mandates. I think it's much worse than the disease. Many people will never recover from the economic destruction. History will show that the cure was worse than the disease.
