Yes I noticed that the roster I was looking at was 19-20. I wonder why they quit updating it? It looked like a really good website. I also couldn't find this years schedule but I didn't dig too much. Thanks again. Looks like about a split in players from Juniors and straight out of High School. Interesting to see a couple of 25 year old College Hockey Players.

I have no idea! Just starting to research all of this and realizing there are so many levels of Juniors. Let's talk about the lowest level? Is that where the Vengeance play? Do those kids go on to play College Hockey at any level? Of course anyone can walk on and get a tryout almost anywhere I would think.

Looks like they have some ice time scheduled for the Hunt Armory starting 11/29/21. Not to far away. I'm surprised they haven't done any advertising about it. Looks like some Little Pens learn to skate programs. I'll be interested to see it. Might have to stop in for a public skate. Looks like those start 12/3/21. Will be nice to see a new sheet of ice.

Anyone have a positive experience with playing Juniors then going to college? Is 2 years of juniors what most kids play? Thanks for any info.

Looks like the top teams are starting to distance themselves from the pack. Do you see any surprises in the rankings. Teams you didn't expect to be where they are at this point in the season? Fox Chapel at 8-0 in A is a little surprising.

Do any High School Sports Championships in Western Pa sell out the venues they play in? Basketball, Football etc?

That's impressive! The picture of the Willow game at Lemieux is equally as impressive. Why can't we get the board to start promoting a game of the month and try to get the places packed?

I hear rumor that this group is very interested in the redevelopment aspect of the project and it is one of their specialties. Apparently they redeveloped the area around Fenway when they took over. At least that's what I heard. I hope it's true.

I think if you asked the kids who played Football at Heinz Field for WPIAL finals they will tell you it was Awesome even with only a few thousand fans in the stands. I'm starting to agree that this is an NFL town only. Haven't really watched or noticed. Are Steelers games sold out this year? My Hockey player remembers when he played at PPG in ADM many years ago.

Don't schools foot the bill for Football, Basketball, etc. Why not Hockey! Someone was saying numbers of players doesn't justify the expense. Seems to me there are JV teams at most every school and some even have 2 teams. I haven't seen too many schools skating short this year.

Sounds good. I hope you share the journey along the way. Does yours want to play Jrs or are you looking to go straight to college? Also are you putting together any type of highlight film! I know football players send game films when talking to Colleges.

Just Curious what level are you targeting? Is this your first trip thru recruiting? Sure would like to hear how your journey is going. It might really help others here who are not sure where to go and don't want to listen to all the nay sayers tell us we are wasting our time. Thanks

Great Rankings again thanks! In B I might have Avonworth ahead of Burrell since they beat them in a shootout a couple of weeks ago but Burrell does have more points. should be 9 with a record of 4-1-1. I might have Moon at 5 in A. Just thinking outloud! Thanks for all you do for HS Hockey.

Officating epidemic: Referees fleeing youth sports because of abuse, low pay, increased costs This article was in the Observer Reporter today. Behind a paywall but I'm sure it relates to Hockey as well. Not a new problem but people should think about it before getting on the Refs at games. Without them we don't play the games.

I agree, Pittsburgh is not a State like "Minnesota" or a city as big as Chicago. Pittsburgh is a small town comparatively. Was a hotbed for High School Football talent. Maybe not so much anymore. Has come a long way in the last 20 years with Hockey but still has along way to go to get there and probably never will. I think the Pens and Flyers supporting High School Hockey more would help for sure. It's a great idea to play the State Championship games in the Arenas. The Flyers and Pens should make it free admission for the games and give an incentive to Schools that bring their teams to the game. Would love to see 10,000 fans at a State Championship game. It's called "Promotions"
