  1. PIHL has made teams go straight without caring if they had enough kids to field a JV/V team.
  2. Just go to the Nationals website and read the USA hockey rule book for High School Nationals. Prep, Tier 1, Tier 2 and Girls are the ONLY divisions they have and the only qualifications are to APPLY. If you want BC to get more recognition then tell their coach to move them up a division. 3 losses in 3yrs should help them out with that process but judging by the way you brag about volunteering for Nationals every year and 3 losses in 3yrs they won't ask to move up because they like stats over Chips.
  3. There is not an open and regular division. It is Prep, Tier 1 and Tier 2. Yes, you do just sign up. Any school can apply. If the 1A, 2A or 3A teams cared about Nationals I am sure they would complain to PIHL.
  4. You do know that they volunteer to go to Nationals, they are not picked for it. Again it's the house league of Nationals. You have Tier 1 18u, 16u, 15o, 14u and 13o and Tier 2 18u, 16u and 14u. Then you have High School which has 4 different divisions Prep, Tier 1, Tier 2 and Girl's. BC plays in the 2nd lowest division (out of 12) just above the girls division.
  5. This doesn't make a case for the D2 player at all. 1 is a Freshman playing a division higher and the other is a Senior playing a division lower. 1 took his team to States and the other disappeared and fizzled out in the 2nd round. Weak division or not CV swept the playoffs playing 3 team from the so called "better " division.
  6. Congrats, you lead what's the equivalent of house league in western PA High School Hockey. The state doesn't even recognize D-2, that's why there isn't a state championship for it. He is a good player but beating up on a bunch of low level kids doesn't make him "Stellar". Seems like he disappears in big/close games. 1 goal per game (which is still nice) in 9 games that they lost or won by 3 or less. Then 43 in 11 games he played where they beat teams by 4 or more goals.
  7. Yes, he is the general manager, head of player development and director of hockey operations 😃. Can't wait to see when 1 of the special needs kids makes him mad, then again he will probably have Livebarn turned off like he usually does.
  8. They had 1 team that was really good for 2yrs and then the whole team blew up. They are average and fall in line with the other AAA teams. Supposedly their prices are going up this season after taking over another organization and kicking everyone else out of their arena. For your kid depending on what you expect the best would be to go to your closest rink and work your way out as you get feel for said organization.
  9. 08, The guy runs the entire arena and is coaching the 2012's this year.
  10. They did have a Head Coach wearing an ankle monitor this season. I think that proves your point
  11. Blame it on the parents. To many parents want their kid to be the SUPERSTAR of the team and don't want a another kid to threaten that or they may not get seen by scouts. Then you have the pare5that won't let their kid play with another kid because they don't like that kids parents. Then comes in the parents that refuse to let their kid play for a parent coach. At all age groups if the best kids played together Pittsburgh would have 2 or 3 strong AAA teams and some really good AA teams.
  12. Calm down buddy, you got off topic with the PIHL and super bowl thing. Lol The post was how MHR were pretty accurate and things went the way they were supposed to go at Midams. We get it, your kid plays at Pens, why else would you make all the excuses for them. No one singled out the 15o group until you just did. There probably was injuries ON BOTH SIDES. I am pretty sure the Pens added kids throughout the year also, not just Esmark if they did. If you go and look at the game sheets and standings the Pens struggled in 3 of their 4 games. The 9-4 didn't matter to Esmark because they already clinched a spot in the championship game before the Pens did. Looks like Esmark even played their backup G. The 2-0 in the finals was pretty close until the empty net goal scored with 24 seconds left. You would make the same excuses if the Pens lost. https://www.midamhockey.com/ In case you want to look it up. In the end the Pens won every division they were favored and lost the 1 they were not. MHR spread or not got everything right.
  13. I plan on rooting for the Pittsburgh teams at nationals. My kids have a lot of friends on those teams and it's always nice to see a Pittsburgh team do well on the big stage. The numbers were good for every age group except 1, seems pretty accurate to me.
  14. 3rd shift, naw independent. No baseball, to slow but you really seem to be stuck on that. Now it's time to travel with all the money I saved. Spring break is coming and then summer woooo.
  15. Just like in Pittsburgh the pro organization really has nothing to do with the Jr teams besides letting them use their names, colors and logos. It's considered a non profit and used as a write-off.
  16. Will do and while I'm at it I will pick you up some more tin foil for your hat.
  17. You must be one of the delusional parents that drink the PPE Kool aid. It's PPE or nothing roar. Your kid must suck of he doesn't have a yellow helmet. You don't have a pro logo on your warm-ups, ha peasant. You don't have DICKS scrolling across your head, you are sooo jealous. My kid has what those kids have just at a fraction of the price. He goes to a great public school without paying extra, he gets great skills/skating without paying extra and has gotten a ton of recognition without being pushed ahead of other kids because of his yellow helmet. There is 00.00 jealousy going on. There are other options besides PPE to be seen in Pittsburgh, you just have to stop drinking the Kool aid. Those parents pay that much money to win and that's what they did. Good for them. They did what they were supposed to do.
  18. Jealous because I don't HAVE to spend $30,000 a year plus $$ on an advisor for my kid to get recognized. Guilty ✋🏻✋🏻🤣🤣
  19. Let me rephrase it for you since my wording was a little off. This is why the parents pay $30,000 a year, to win!
  20. While most of this is true, If you are 1 of the top teams in the country and can not take care of a 50th/60th ranked team handedly (no matter how good the goalie is) maybe USA hockey should reevaluate that at large bid, if it were to have come down to that.
  21. Isn't that why the parents pay over $30,000 a year, to win? 13u 1st seed (7th overall) supposed to win by 3, they did vs 2nd seed (24th overall) 14u 1st seed (4th overall) supposed to win by 3, they did vs 2nd seed (28th overall) 15u 1st seed (4th overall) supposed to win by 6, won by 2 with an empty net vs 6th seed (60th overall) 16u 1st seed (17th overall) supposed to win by 3, won by 4 vs 6th seed (41st overall) 18u 2nd seed (17th overall) supposed to lose by 2, lost by 2 to the 1st seed (7th overall)
  22. This is the problem with having score sheets, the parents have to ruin it once again. Goalie parents are the WORST by far and most of them don't know what a REAL shit on goal is and want everything thrown near their kid listed as a shot. They yell at the coaches, refs and score keepers if their kids don't get their assist or shots right. I know parents that have actually called and Emailed the teams, leagues and companies running a tournament because they keep their own stats and even send video clips of their kids not getting a 2nd assist or a shot went off their kid and someone else got the goal. Parents ruin everything in youth sports.
  23. But but but I thought the Blue division was Class A -2 because none of their teams were as good as the Gold division.
