If I remember correctly they don't usually update the main spreadsheet until squirt is completed.

You sure you are looking in the right place? Stats pages look updated to me. Everyone with 0-0 records and updated teams in the lists. Don't use the spreadsheet. Click a division under the stats drop-down menu.

@Lifelongbender that post was way too high quality for this forum. Saving for myself as I agree with you totally -
Brought in the big guns. Hope they are checking birth certificates and know how to read Russian or the peewee brackets are going to be wery wery controversial this year.

I have no idea but didn't have a squirt last year. I don't remember many aviators teams in general last year though I was just teasing about how the Preds 09 team did last year.

Hope it goes better for them than most of the AA minor birthyear teams. If they lose all their games they might leave and go AAA independent next year.

I'm excited because we have played some lopsided games this year (both directions) and can hopefully find some close competition to play. That said, and I don't know others experiences, but it seems like it takes around 15+ games before the ratings really seem accurate enough? Additionally, is this going to be like last year where a lot of teams take a while to show up on the rankings because of COVID etc or do we think it is going to be back to normal at least for the older groups?

Be careful what you ask! And I agree with you about the smaller orgs. The hockey world is small enough for many of us to put things together (and no I don't know who you are but beaver falls might)

If you do play an appeal do they pick a random team or the expected lowest team or the expected highest team?

Generally, I find the larger the tournament the more likely you will have competitive games. The more teams the better the tournament director can divide teams into tighter skill ranges and the less the teams the more likely you will get someone out of place shoved into a bracket (either someone who beats all the other teams handily or gets beat by everyone).
