  1. Well if it's 3 hour drive for them and they are going to have weird restrictions sounds like a waste of time to try to schedule. I'll wait til clearer rules come out. Thanks to both of you.
  2. Because it gets lost in the Quinlan/Fauci world of sorrow, does anyone have friends or contacts in Michigan? It looks like they can play regular games at the Midget/Bantam level (other levels too) with two spectators per athlete. Can anyone confirm? I want to reach out and schedule some games.
  3. The Vengeance/SCIR hybrid teams are squirts. No tier 1 as mentioned elsewhere. Also who cares?
  4. Anyone have friends in Michigan? It looks like they can play regular games now with two spectators per player. Are there caveats to that?
  5. So there are not a lot of specifics here but even Michigan's governor looks like she is now being less restrictive than Wolf. https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/local/2020/09/03/gov-whitmer-reopens-michigan-gyms-and-pools-allows-organized-sports-to-resume/?outputType=amp For indoor sports, 2 guests allowed per participant in the stands.
  6. I'm not even sure I can follow what they are arguing about to be honest.
  7. Squirt minor AA SCIR team last year was the Vengeance 2010 team and 09 before that and 08 before that. I believe that's how they sell their program - play a pahl and aaa schedule. I do not believe the 08s played peewee pahl last year and I don't believe the 09s are this year so it might just be a squirt thing.
  8. There is a clause in the rules that specifically limits "Sports" to 25. That means Yes, Bethel or RMU or Ice Castle can have 50% for even Open Skate, but not for "sports".
  9. Checking. Ohio is pretty sensible about their rules. Based on capacity of the building (like everything but sports here) and they require masks and social distancing indoors. It isnt "anything goes" nor is it "omg you can't come in the building but go ahead and drink in the parking lot" - both of which occur around here.
  10. Any idea what the senate version of this is doing?
  11. Can also confirm - my two oldest (midget/bantam) have both played there multiple times with some social distancing/masking requirements but not the nuttiness our governor/health department requires.
  12. It passed through the committee (smaller portion of the house) meaning now if it gets put on the house agenda it will have to be passed by the entire house. At the same time it will have to go through the same process on the Senate side and both House and Senate will have to vote for it as a whole with over 2/3 majority each to keep the governor from vetoing it.
  13. I just don't want someone getting all uptight and saying it was actually the people who they saw at Alpha. Those people were probably just enjoying the games and fuming silently inside.
  14. Maybe he can invite Pensmom66 or whatever over for a scrimmage ??
  15. Guys i am pretty sure she is fake. I actually do believe some pens families went to see the tournament at Alpha, but I truly don't believe they would be dumb enough to sign onto this forum and post what she has posted. I think someone is pretending to be someone else. The reactions are hilarious though so I am enjoying it.
  16. The funniest thing is this person said she was happy the pens were responsible but then exposed her whole family to the irresponsibility because she's nosy ?. That's one of the funniest things I've ever heard, assuming she is a real person posting and not just trolling.
  17. My guess is the bill gets passed (legislature passed stuff opening businesses back up earlier this year) but wolf vetoes it and the legislature doesn't have the 2/3 override numbers.
  18. Yeah I'm sorry if that sounded targeted towards you it wasn't. Just curious where they are playing away games. Up to peewee maybe Ohio would work for a few but above that level where are they going to find real competition?
  19. In Ohio only? Canada? Nope. New York? Nope. Pennsylvania? Nope. Michigan? Nope. Illinois? Nope. Maybe they will play a European schedule
  20. Quinlan has proven that (s)he has no concern about the common person. "If they don't have bread, why don't they eat cake?" - Quinlan2020
  21. @Danner27 have you heard more updates about this ? I've heard 3-4 times this week no games for PPE now. Not sure if it's a limited time thing, a just at UPMC thing, or if they are just done. If there really aren't games, are they talking about refunds and/or are the parents furious?
  22. I wasn't surprised. The anchors on NBC right after the NBA announced this Wednesday immediately talked about "Hockey Culture" and how they are trying to be more inclusive. I knew the NHL was going to do the same thing as soon as it was announced.
