  1. Sets a great example for the kids as well. Cheating is no big deal; just don't get caught. And if you do get caught, just take them to court!

  2. Lawsuit? People have lost their ever loving minds. Judges don't want to be bothered with this kind of crap. Good luck, Montour.

  6. Danner, you self identify as someone who has pull on a message board. I have pull in real life. Nobody thinks Montour is clean, but everyone sees the timing of this for what it is. Bring it to light in November - no one bats an eye. Bring it to light now - you’re a rat who was looking for a come uppence at the expense of innocent kids. Simple as. Toodles. - F

  7. How the f**k do you lie on paperwork and it doesn’t get caught. Did the kid change his last name to the billets? Did they not find a conflict with the address he provided? Did they make up an address? Did they not get signatures from his parents who don’t live in Montour? No proof of residence? Birth Certificate? What kind of half ass verification process is going on with PIHL that they miss all that? You’re acting like somebody scribbled his name down on a piece of paper and wrote “Montour resident” next to it and turned it in. There are checks and balances that this kid clearly passed. And until you state your affiliation to this situation - don’t come on here speaking in absolutes. For all we know you’re some goober dad hanging around outside the meeting room - because we know a handful of you here would be “those guys”. - Big Flavi

  8. How many times do you have to be told that Montour never filed the proper paperwork. Yes the kid was approved to play as a resident of Montour who wasn't a billet or transfer student. They lied from the beginning. PIHL goes over all the paperwork AGAIN at the end of the season just to make sure everything is in order and it wasn't.

  9. Montour never filed the PROPER paperwork, they filed the paperwork they wanted under false pretenses. They knew exactly what they were doing when they did it and they are now mad that they got caught. Montour never stated that the kid was a billet or transfer student from Ohio because their arg5eas that he was never in high school before so there for he was not "transferring" to Montour.

  10. The judge is going to look at this and ask why the kid was on the ice for 10 games and there was no problem. That’s just as much of an issue for PIHL as Montour having an issue with possibly not having anything in writing. If these rules are so important, why didn’t PIHL act to make sure they were being followed? How did the kid play 10 games or whatever. Remember, judge likely isn’t look at it through a hockey lense. Won’t necessarily be forgiving to the fact that the kid was allowed to step foot on the ice and play sanctioned games - and no one stopped him. IF these rules are so important. Why isn’t there measures in place to prevent something like this happening? How did a kid play a whole season and it wasn’t an issue?

  11. My thoughts too! This forum is full of "i heard this" "i talked to that person", my opinion is.... Yep..lets wait and see!

  12. So you are the one who started this thread and now you come up with this paperwork. I'm trying to figure out your angle and where you are getting your info. 1st I thought you were an Avonworth parent or fan. Now I'm scratching my head trying to figure where you would get that info. PIHL? Montour parent? Very confusing!

  13. Has it ever occurred to anyone here that people can discuss a topic without being directly involved. Just last week I was an Esmark parent who lived in Greensburg. Whatever the case, you sound scared. What’s your stake in this?

  14. As you guessed I have no idea what they have. But like Pucks said, I made a rather fundamental assumption that if PIHL had paperwork that approved this player, we wouldn’t have gotten to where we are now, and that the hearings would have produced this and montour would be just fine. If PIHL does have such paperwork, wow, this is an even bigger mess and Montour is entirely a victim. I put the odds of that rather low, though, based on getting to where we are now. I don’t know that group personally, but have practiced law for a while. When representing a plaintiff in a civil suit, especially such as here were the fee is presumably either pro bono or hourly (so it’s not tied to percentages of damages), attorneys take cases for any number of reasons. I think it is unfair that just because what might very well be a reputable firm took this case, means there is a proverbial smoking gun.

  15. If they had the paperwork saying he could play then they would be in the playoffs right now. That's the problem with the meeting held last week at Ice Castle. Montour could NOT provide the proper paperwork saying the goalie could play. They have paperwork saying that he lives in the district and is not a transfer student, which is a lie and why everything is where it is.

  16. These attorneys are very reputable. They aren’t taking this unless they have strong evidence against. Case could be expedited depending on other verbiage. This is going to get interesting for sure.

  18. Kind of funny how Montour had the money for the Varsity, JV and Middle School teams to play in playoffs but when they attempt to sue they have to pull all of their teams because they don't have enough money. Nothing like screwing over your other teams. Obviously the board only cares about 1 team in that organization. There would be no problem if Montour would just show PIHL the that the proper paperwork was filled out. The problem is they can't, because they never filed the proper paperwork. Like Peter said, the playoffs will be over before there is even a date set to read this IF it even gets approved to be heard.

  19. Those are some reputable lawyers. Seems like there may be more to this story. Maybe PIHL approved the kid. Wow.

  21. Yeah there’s a definite agenda here to save face by a group of individuals. Suggesting Montour screwed up ad nauseam. Holy hell. We all get it and largely agree. You can’t deflect away from the people who used this “screw up” to their advantage and did so in a cowardly way. While having a bunch of teenagers act as collateral. You can sit and claim moral high ground all you want, tell people to get mad at Montours board. If the people who ratted them out were such high standing individuals - they would have taken every other Montour player in to consideration and brought this up early on. They didn’t, so they’re just as big of scum bags as anyone else who may or may not have been attempting to take advantage of a situation involving kids. If I’m another adult in this situation. Even if I know the opposing coach is doing this intentionally, I’m not going to sit on it and use it to my benefit when the time is right. Knowing that it’s going to screw over a whole roster of kids that did nothing wrong. It’s pathetic. You can keep making your comments about Montour being to blame, sure, they are… The clowns that took it and turned it into a chess piece are still rats, they’re still pathetic. - Flavio

  22. Everyone followed the rules but Montour? Did every kid on every team wear a neck guard for every game? Isn’t that a rule? It was clearly laid out for everyone to read. Did you read that? Almost every team disregarded this rule. DQ every team! Obviously, I am joking about the DQ. I could care less about that but just once again pointing out the false statement of everyone else “followed the rules”. Just be factual in your statements. I get it- some rules are more important than others. NOT! The rules are the rules. We don’t get to pick and choose which rules we follow in society. Now had you said every team but montour followed the eligibility rules then you may have a more valid point. I’m still going to call BS on that until I have the FACTS.

  23. The visas state that the foreign players are here for education, not hockey. Therefore PIHL's hands are tied on not letting them play. Which is why they make the team move up a level.

  24. Aaaahockey. You follow me around this board with your 4 usernames in attempts to provoke me. You’re upset that you perceived me to have the upper hand in explaining how people from the east won’t want to drive to Southpointe - now you seemed to develop an obsession. Until you give me a date and a time to meet and play hockey, get to know one another, you are a cuckhold and I will consider you as such. I will not be responding to you, your other name you use heavily and the two others that always show up to chime in for you. You are on my cuck list until further notice. You have your shot, and I’ve posted more than enough information about myself here. Let’s see if your energy stays the same in person. If not, continue to sit in the chair in the corner and watch Flavi do his thing. - Big Flavi

  29. Not disputing that Montour broke the rules. I’m calling out the cowards that didn’t say anything about it from the get go - as to avoid disrupting other kids seasons. It’s just the right thing to do as an adult. Don’t use it as a chess piece, as was done here. Cowards and weasels. Simple as. - Coach Flavi

  30. fafa fooli- maybe…maybe he should not have been approved by PIHL before the season on the official roster….maybe they should have folded their JV team since games overlapped on the same nights, maybe Scotty Bowman should not have been allowed on their bench, maybe Conner McDavid shouldn’t have snuck into a game as the 21st player that apparently played with a cloak of invisibility…lots of maybe’s. But that’s what get these chats going, lots of maybe’s, assumptions, and hearsay with very few facts.
