  1. This topic got way off track! I think it's time to shut it down!

  2. To my knowledge Cardinal Wuerl had zero to do with NC other than having his name on the school. And there are those on this thread insinuating abuse occurred at NC and it was ignored? Joe Pa allowed abuse on his own campus. Apples and oranges.

  3. Last I checked, players aren't out here changing their birth years. So 09s are a problem because it's the same parents year after year.

  6. It is the parents. I tell families with mite players to find a team your kid is happy on and stick with it. Every season it's the same thing. Some people call it "A chasing," but I call it lack of foresight, as well. If your kid leaves a team where they are happy -- so they can play for a team with an extra A -- that doesn't mean they're locked in for life. The next season they might not make that team, it may have been a bad experience, or the team/organization could even fold. Then they're stuck and desperate to find a home. Can't move down a level, though, right? Multiply that by 80% of the folks out there, and you get what we are seeing right now. It's absolutely stupid, and the sad part is that parents only realize they goofed after their kid's time is done and they're playing beer league. The sadder part is that they took other kids with them.

  7. Honestly once you hit 2nd year Bantam teams are always a mess through Midget. Kids jumping around, teams disappearing, ..... Its just hockey. I could give you many examples from 2006-2010.

  10. Everything you said has zero to do with people accusing the school of covering up abuse that happened at said school. Your trust in Catholics is about as good as my trust in so-called Christians.

  11. Also got to the point that a lot of guys were just embarrassed to play in this league and didn’t want any part of it anymore. our last home game north shore sent 4 original rostered players on their team. The rest was made up of adult league players who were playing in the UPMC Lemieux classic down the road. They used adult league players from the town to fill in for the game. It was just a joke at that point. Teams didn’t want to show up for us so why should we show up for them.

  13. Sounds like an owner response. We also know alot of the players. That was not the consensus.

  18. You can definitely just declare that you are “AAA”. Not sure about the tier 1 designation. But any team can claim to be AAA. And the Aviators have a long history of doing just that. I know. I have been part of the Aviators organization in the past and they have had a number of teams declare AAA. And it was always a reach and the teams struggled dearly. Somehow one of those teams got a game with Pens Elite, got blown out and it was ugly. I am not saying your new AAA team will be as bad. I hope that they are competitive. I saw the AA teams play last year and they were good. Not sure if they have enough kids that are AAA fast. But they were good. Good luck with your season, I hope they are competitive and I look forward to seeing them play.
