  1. So.................... they might be a AA team instead of an A-Major team?
  2. If they start to figure it out, then why do they still have those farcical teams at Ice Castle? If people can't figure out that pyramid scheme, then they must be really dumb.
  3. You mean like this year's mandate that all 8U families sign a contract that prohibits them from participating in any other programs? All because they had a bunch of their players leave the program this season. There used to be some families that also participated in PAHL programs so that they could play in the 8U Jamborees instead of always seeing the same players. Now, they are "under contract" at 8U and will do exactly as they are told to do or they will be exiled forever. Or until they become a great player somewhere else and they beg them to return so that they claim to have developed them. Just think about that, 8U hockey, you agree to do whatever they tell you to do.
  4. This "was their mantra" as the original news release attached states. However, it wasn't long after that first season that people in charge realized that their was a shit-ton of $$$$$ to be made, but I digress. The big point that I want make is this, the PPE also claim to be this bastion of player development and they convince all the Little Super 66'er "Elite mites" that they have to play there if they want any chance of becoming the next star 12U player. Then came 2020 and the elimination of the 14U Major and Minor BY Black teams as well as the 12U Major Black team. So, now you have 15 skaters and 2 goalies who have been "trained by the best staff anywhere" for 5 years(06) 4 years(07) and 3 years (08) being dumped back into the AA and Faux AAA tryout pool participants. I don't know what the results are officially, but I have heard stories and they don't back up the development theory. I've also seen some of the on-ice sessions and the only thing that makes most (not all) stand out are their beautiful yellow buckets along with the fact that they never pass the puck to anyone without the same helmet and even then a pass is rare. But they're determined to show their superiority over these vagrants from AA PAHL teams, or worse yet (gasp) an A player. I'm so superior to this peasant, mom told me so. So' I'll continue to make bad plays and turn the puck over to these lowly players because this yellow helmet is on my head. And because of it, I am destined for greatness on my new mPens Team With Pittsburgh Hornets.docixed year A-Major team.
  5. Another fan boy. Which image would be best. Let's try this one. Below is a clock that will count down the days until your little superstar loses his precious spot to a kid from out of town whose family will pony up the $$$$$ for Excel Academy, North Catholic, billet costs and whatever else they can bleed the family for. So enjoy your 3 years there and maybe you can sell all that swag you bought for you and the Mrs. on let go.
  6. All of these recent positive tests are due to more screening/testing being done as a requirement. No one ever gives the number of negative test results, just the positive ones. The virus is not nearly as bad as once thought and is really only deadly to those over 60 with other health issues. Now, we certainly want to protect those people but we can't shut down everything else again to do so. Those families will need to make decisions based on their immediate family situations.
  7. Well, I hate to say I hope you're right but there definitely needs be oversight and accountability of these people because they are obviously not equipped to do it themselves or they simply choose not to do it.
  8. This is the subject of the message I just received from USA hockey and low and behold all it is a link to renew your membership today. No article, nothing about who is playing already, just the desire to collect their money. The only thing that came to my mind was the non-stop reminders from The King that the only thing USA hockey is concerned with is the money. More and more that fact is being proven to be factual, day in and day out.
  9. You should just stay home. It's much safer.
  10. I'll bet people were just sitting at their computers and hitting refresh every minute just waiting to donate their money for "Tryouts". It's a sad state of affairs that this sport has been relegated to.
  11. I understand that National Elite and it's proprietor are being less than accommodating with refund requests. To the point where several people I have heard from are considering legal action. I believe they were offered $650 worth of power skating lessons instead.
  12. The players have probably moved on in their own minds yet mommy an daddy just can't let it go. Poor Bobby should never have to suffer this injustice.
  13. The only people "forming teams" are more than likely the same people who "form team" every year. I don't even know how you could contemplate doing that in this situation when there is so much uncertainty.
  14. Drop the microphone, King. Nothing else needs ever to be said.
  15. Those willing to pay the secret quarantine rate.
  16. There you have it. Average age of 79. I thought I had heard something along those lines the other day about our area specifically and thought that it seemed like too high of an average age. I guess not. 60% of those deaths had at least 2 comorbidities. Time to reopen in full swing.
  17. I think it's unofficially open to small groups for instruction.
  18. You asked a question and I simply provided an answer. Now, because you didn't like the answer, you're done?
  19. Any player who played in any of the USPHL Junior leagues. This includes NCDC, Premier and Elite divisions. All are AAU sanctioned.
  20. Peter the Prick hasn't been right about anything he's ever posted on here.
  21. This Peter Puck is a disgrace to the greatest cartoon in sports. He has no clue and should go back to worrying about the fallout from the Plum/Moon game.
  22. Never happen. Those kids will scatter around to other PAHL teams. They'll get 5-6 that are willing to make that drive. This will be the recipe. 6 former PPE Black players A couple of Viper 08's plus 2-3 other PAHL AA players Mix in some A players to fill the roster Pluck a random guy off the Coaching tree Mix them all together and you have a "AAA" team that plays a maximum of 10 games on PIA ice, costs $4500 plus 12 weekends on the road. That's the Esmark model. What a value.
  23. A once-thriving program has been stripped down to rubble due mainly to the one thing that can kill any youth sports program. TOO MUCH PARENT INVOLVEMENT.
